Reddit mass removing comment links today?

also there is posters i know of that dont buy upvotes or in some instance even some that do but not on the ones in particular that were removed and ive seen some of their old comments get removed too

All of this is new and we're all just trying to find some common pattern. No need for attacking anyone, we're all in the same boat.
yes but some have an incentive to steer wrong information like that guy SELLING accounts saying no one is affected (cause hes hoping someone will keep buying his accounts when its blatantly obvious that somethign ha changed)

also its my OLDER comments that are sticking at a much higher percentage. if the age of the thread was correlated to voting then it would be the opposite

ok this is nonsense cause i got alot removed lately that were never upvoted. how do i know? many were on "new" threads ordered where you dont even send a upvote in the first place since your already at the top lol so that definitely proves it. but i know there is many times i posted a link and never upvoted
Yeah but you had a link... Am I right?

Actually it makes perfectly sense, threads that are already old than 60 days, any comment that you will write and buy upvotes will be removed, hopefully I am wrong

ok i just check someone put up a NEW LINK thats a day old right now and its still up on a thread OLDER than 2 months old and it was massively upvoted. In fact i see more than a few examples today where the comment is still up 12 to 24 hours later.

i looked i have some comments with links on some old threads done a month or 2 ago that were massively upvoted. they are still there.

I have some that are massively upvoted and are still there as well. But most are not. We are looking for general rules, it won't be an exact science.

And if someone found the exact way it works, they will never post it here. Better to keep an open mind and let people share their experiences. We all use accounts in different ways, different aged accounts, verified or non verified, proxy quality, comments to comments with links ratio, etc. Let's keep sharing ideas instead of shitting on each other.

Some subreddits do not allow comments to have links so, I think you have violated their subreddit rules.

i just noticed some have been removed today since yesterday from commentsmonths ago i have even less then yesterday. anyone else still dwindling?

Check it out again later or tomorrow if it's still there , from what I noticed (and i might be wrong) the new algoritam is doing some kind of sitewide spam sweep every certain time and mass deleting comments as I notice many comments are being deleted at the same time

seems like hte cleansing is still "ongoing" cause yesterday alot were gone and when im checking now its alot less then yesterday

yeah i keeping track of those few to see if they are ever removed. for me mine are removed in a few hours. I think it will stick if its been up roughly a day or almost a day like im seeing iwth them.

with that said im still seeing my old comments being removed cause at least in the last 24 hours a bunch more have been removed. so this is a total clean house

i check again now and one was removed maybe like half a day i think they had no karma on that one. there is a couple that made it past the 24 hours still up and they had karma.

Is there any pattern anyone has noticed to the type of links being removed? For example, 3 different link types below:

1) Links where the entire URL is provided as the hyperlinked text (for example commenting "the best is https://www.scoobysnacks.com")
2) Links where a product name is in both the hyperlinked text and the linked URL, but the entire URL is not showing for the hyperlinked text (for example commenting "the best is Scoobysnacks")
3) Links where the hyperlinked text has nothing in common with the URL (for example commenting "the best product is this one here"

I am wondering if the algo is comparing the hyperlinked text to the linked URL. Basically any sort of link shortening, link cloaking at the individual link level, the algo may see it as potentially misleading for users and delete it for that reason or something along those lines.

I've had both the 2nd and 3rd type and they all get removed.

Difficult to say about the first type because people don't usually post naked affiliate links

I think Comments with links are removed when they are a reply to some top comment. Happens less when its a random comment in the thread.

I think it's a new kind of shadowbann. I have seen accounts where comments stay ok, with links.

It seems reddit start to spamming websites with low reputation.
They want to rank up their website by deleting low quality backlinks.

no pattern even on that in fact the person Im seeing that person from yesterday there some comments are still up and they titles of the links you are to click on are brand names or spammy type stuff not a generic hyperlink ttile. so not sure why those weren't removed since they were very spammy and done in the last day
