Reddit mass removing comment links today?

I only do manual work. Any comment with link is getting removed within 24 hours even if my account is aged.

Had this happen with manual created accounts and accounts I bought on marketplace.

I have some comments still up, but I cannot find any reason why those were different than the ones taken down.

Are your accounts getting suspended or only shaddowbanned? When you log in to your accounts do you still see the comments from there?

The accounts seem fine and any comment without link is still there incognito. I can even comment again in the same subreddit on the same post. The comment and link stay there for a random amount of time, but get removed pretty quickly in a seemingly automatic way.

My previous comments with links are shadowbanned. I see it when logged into the account. I view incognito, it says the comment was removed by moderator. But it was definitely algo. Too many subreddits/comments all "removed by moderator" on same date to be an actual moderator.

edit: i THINK most say "removed by moderator" - but some just don't show up. Not sure fi that is useful

Yeah, I have the total same experience. From over 1,000 clicks a day two days ago to 50 clicks in total today.

Btw jacky chou's subreddit has all the posts removed and only 1 member left.
 
I wonder if they will have this implemented forever because it sounds really serious. I got 2 accounts hit with perma bans for vote manipulations and I had a lot of links on them. First they removed the comments and with the new algorithm change and now 1 hour ago they perma banned my accounts. Everyone is experiencing the same thing right?
 
upvote shop, but some of my older comments got deleted even though I didn't buy any upvotes on them.

same here doesnt seem to be any trend in any accounts or the comment itself

Update: I got an account banned for vote manipulation a few hours ago, just saw the email now.

This account had 0 comments removed until now where the entire account was suspended.

Last post was 3+ months ago on that account.

Funny thing is, if this is related to an upvote service, I 100% have upvoted random accounts that were agreeing with my product/service when applicable. Sorry to those people loll

If you link to huge sites do they get taken down too? Like yahoo.com or google.com?
 
imo this has nothing to do with upvotes, only with backlinks

Your wrong, I do agree that it has something to do with links but it also has something to do with upvotes 100%

I did lots of tests for the last 36h, seems that if you comment on Threads that are getting traffic from Google (Old threads), and buy upvotes (With or without links) = Removed.

Yes, thanks for that comment. I checked all my comments and this is my new theory.

Any comments on a post older than ~60 days at the time of commenting and the comment gets abnormal upvotes, is gone. Link or no link.

I have an example of a post that I made 2 different comments on.

One comment made 30 days ago, and at that point, the post was less than 2mo old. That comment remains there with its upvotes I gave it.
I had another comment on the same post 2 days ago (the post is now showing 2mo old), that one has been removed.

We think it's links, because that's exactly what everyone was doing on these posts that ranked in google.

But I think they simply made a rule that if the post is > 60 days, and any single comment gets more than X upvotes per day or whatever, is automatically removed.

Did I crack the case?

Yep! Good job, that was my testing exactly.
Now we need to crack and find a solution how we can comment on an old post (Older than 60 Days), without getting it removed.

But yeah link 100% is a factor here because comments that were few months back are removed as well.
 
Already did, bought upvotes to an account that comment on a thread (7 months old), The account is pretty strong (2916, 20k karma), with daily activity.

He has a link on his comment. If his comment goes down, not sure what else can be tested
 
I posted a couple of comments with links yesterday without sending any upvotes. They also got removed a few hours later. I'm not sure it's the upvotes

ok this is nonsense cause i got alot removed lately that were never upvoted. how do i know? many were on "new" threads ordered where you dont even send a upvote in the first place since your already at the top lol so that definitely proves it. but i know there is many times i posted a link and never upvoted

im starting to think they are claiming that cause they dont want us to upvote. Anyone whos done this awhile can see that many comments that were never upvoted whether recently or awhile back are getting removed too

All of this is new and we're all just trying to find some common pattern. No need for attacking anyone, we're all in the same boat.
