Site Got DeIndexed, What Should I Do?

The recent Google Core update hit my site. Though when I use the "site:mywebsite . com" filter I see that there are still over 500 pages indexed, and my site is not appearing in any of the searches it used to show up to.

The site is full of AI content, but none can be filtered as "unhelpful" as I manually went through all of them to edit them or include any statistics or information that should have been included.

I am confused about what to do next. Let me know if you guys have any ideas to recover.

I have the same issue. The website is visible (for now) through "site:domain.com", but it doesn't rank for keywords. If I simply enter the website name, it also shows up. I see the same thing with one of my competitors.

It sounds like your problem is not deindexing but losing serp ranking.

I would do nothing for like a week to see what happens.

Don't freak out and start doing a bunch of things at once.

your site can be deranked and indexed. So its not deindexed but its clearly suffered from a penalty. Sadly like "shadow" banning google does this. How useful was your site? did it add anything unique or new, if its just AI and your trying to outrank a human written piece then sorry its not going to happen. AI is spinning, therefore there is source material out there for all it produces, google want value not rehashing of other peoples work.

Mine is still untouched. This is a new website since January so for now it doesn't rank too well, but I keep seeing new keywords and impressions every day.
The only content is AI with manual editing (1,000 words take me 20 minutes to edit). But I haven't posted content for a few days.

This could be an insight into what Google does.
If you think about it, they hunt "content for Google". The most unnatural behavior would be being too consistent with your posting schedule or simply going for a certain amount of content every day to "fill up" a blog.
To eliminate the amount of junk and useless content by 40%, you need to hit hard on common behaviors, there is no way otherwise.
I do not think they detect AI content, this would be too expensive for them; considering they have an emergency to clean their search results, there are cheaper ways to achieve a better result.

Also, Google can sometimes make mistakes but do not think of them as a bunch of idiots. Every time I underestimated Google in any aspect (even outside SEO), I got screwed.

Not all pages have been deindexed yet, so I would just wait a few weeks and see what happens.

Even if the content has been manually reviewed and edited, it's necessary to assess it from the perspective of E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness). Content is not just good and accurate but also provides value.

Due to new update few of my sites lost traffic and Another few times gain more traffic.
