Today a report came out saying consumer confidence in the U.S.A. has risen to the highest level since September 2008. We will have to see if it continues to be strong.
I also maintain that if the U.S. economy does really tank, I mean really tank, there will be anarchy in the streets of that country and probably dozens more, thats why owning a little self sufficient acreage somewhere is a good investment. Montana!!
I second that, people who think it's better to keep their investments in gold, etc need to realize this:
When shit REALLY goes down, when pure chaos / hyperinflation / shortage of everything breaks out, you're FUCKED regardless if you have a shit load of US currency, GOLD, etc --> because you CAN'T EAT either one of those
Here's a quick story, down to the point, my grandma told me about (I was born in Russia, Siberian part of it)... during WWII when there was shortage of everything, and money was worthless, the things we take for granted, were more valuable than gold, literally. My grandma had a big house in the village and she had TONS of pillows... which were in shortage!... ya pillows, all relatives/guests would offer to trade their cash / cows / crop / whatever in exchange for a comfy pillow to sleep on.
I know, it's lame right, but really, when hell breaks out tons of cash or gold won't help you feed your kids
the us dollar goes down because of our trade imbalances & because the fed is intentionally devaluing it. The dollar needs to go down because it makes exports cheaper and alleviates the trade imbalances we have.
This means gold, oil and commodities go up.
Money moves. It never goes away. It just moves - and we need to follow it.
When currencies lose value commodities almost always go up. Don't focus on the loss of the value of the us dollar but focus on the gain in commodity prices.
my $.02 on the matter.
China has been dumping US bonds. and is no longer the largest holder. Japan now has the largest USD holding.
The way I see it: A weak American Dollar at this time is a good thing. Foreign countries and developing nations see their money as stronger and buy more American products. This creates demand and thus more jobs. The US $ will then recover and the roller coaster comes to a halt until the next ride. A great example is here in the Philippines there are ALOT more American products in the malls. My only question about it is if they are shipped to the U.S. and then here or directly from China.
The elites have been planning the collapse of the American dollar for dozens of years. The goal is to have the Amero come in just like the Euro... ultimately a one world government where the power elite control everything.
