So I'm using an adsense alternative called Galaksion.

I paste the domain verification html code into my site header (squarespace) and when I click the verification button i get this error
'Error getting domain main page tags'

Any clues of ideas as to why this is happening? I'm definitely adding the code to the site root after countless step-by-step tutorials watched.

thanks in advance :)

Are you sure you had pasted the right code at the right place? Show us screenshot.

Did you clear the cache from CloudFlare?

no i haven't, let me try thanks

edit: it says CloudFlare is a service i have to pay for?
CloudFlare has a paid option but in 19/20 cases the free plan is more than enough.

If you don't use it, though, not much point in clearing its cache.

Do you see that code snippet when you load your site in incognito?

i also haven't tried that, im assuming you mean open the code injection page in incognito mode?

No, your home page, to make sure the code is there properly.
sorry I'm being dumb, how can i check if the code is there on the home screen? on squarespace there's a '</>' code injection i can add. is this what you mean? again sorry for being dumb :s

Go to your site (not the back end on squarespace, to your site address) from incognito and check the source code. See if the code you injected is really there.
