Laser eye surgery info

For some time I've been thinking to get a laser eye surgery and fix my eye problems once and for all. For several years, I've been using contact lens, but my eyes started to get really red especially on parties which involve lots of alcohol, so I went back to glasses. I've been doing little research on the surgery and so far I am not 100% convinced to do it. Some of the people I know had successful surgeries, but very small number didn't get the desired improvement. I also read about a alternate method by a guy named Norbekov that does not require surgery, only some eye muscle exercises which seemed really easy and am willing to try it soon. Have any of you guys had a eye surgery, tried the other method or did something else ?

You could possibly visit a surgeon who will not be doing the operation and ask if you should?

i think surgery is the best.eye exercises???not at all.Like the above user said,i think it will be of the CB product quality.

Ken Moadel is the best Dr. hands down. New York City.

I had astigmatism 6.6 left eye and miopia 2.5 right eye, now both 20/20 after 5 years.... (actually right eye better than 20/20)

This Dr. is the surgeon of many famous basketball, baseball, etc, you can see all the pictures with autographs thanking him, no lawsuits yet.

$5,000 both eyes.

He will even take miopia patiences with level that no Dr will ever think (like 12) and leave you with 3 (better impossible).

The guy is famous in the alternative medicine field, perhaps it is not a cb crap...

New York is so far away and 5k is too much at the moment(in my country prices are around 1500 euros)

Yeah, I've been wondering why advertise surgery, lenses and other stuff while the ophthalmologists still wear glasses (advertise goodyear tires, while you use michelin and show it to everyone)

My wife had LASIK surgery about 5 years ago. She had zero complications other than the expected eye dryness shortly after surgery. She still has 20/15 vision. The only downside to this type of procedure (and the reason I never had it done) is that you still will need reading glasses as you get older.

I have a consult with my oft. today, I'm interested in the surgery, but I'll consult at least 3 docs before doing it.

I had LASIK 24 or so years ago. My eyes have been great and they were in very bad shape before. I was severely miopic like -18 and is why I got it so long ago.

In short , no regrets, they also said they can do it again as your eyes change as you get older.

Im not gonna lie, it was scary when I had it done but now Id do it again.

Oh and eye excersizes will help but marginally at best so I wouldnt be under any false pretenses.

no more glasses or contacts(I had hard permiable lenses that drove my eyes crazy and eventually grew intolerant of them and the reason I had the procedure done.)

I had LASIK in 2001 when I was 21 and it was well worth the money.

Yes I knew all about the bad results and the fact that after the op you still might need to wear glasses. Thankfully my op went all good.

I done it for a few reasons. I paid 2000 pounds for it.

Money: The way I looked at it is if you were to spend 100 pounds/year on glasses then it pays for itself after 20 years, and still have 10ish years left (they say it last till your about 50)

Social: On the social side when I was younger I drank a bit and used to always fall asleep with them in. It was a nightmare waking up in the mornings feeling like my eyes were glued to each other.

Time: Another aspect was time. Its stupid things like 5min in the morning and 5 at night, but hey these all add up.

Also sport: I played a bit of football (soccer for everyone else) and as you know its not really a game for wearing glasses.

As you probably know you will need to were glasses for 6 weeks (to let your eyes adjust to the air again) before the op and get tested to make sure you can have it. I needed to buy a pair of glasses knowing I was going to be binning them 6 weeks later lol!

I know its a lot of money, but hey thats what creditcards are for. Many places actually have credit systems as well.

Overall Id say its well worth it and would have it done again in the blink of an eye

I had it done three years ago, it was amazing. I should probably be going back for a touch up soon though. Keep in mind this doesn't mean you won't be wearing glasses again. Your eyesight can still deteriorate over your life time.

My wife had it and it cost 3600.00 and they even threw in a correction for night blindness. It took 5 minutes per eye and she could see immediately. It comes with lifetime free tuneups if needed. It was the laser center or TLC.

I can vouch for that its not that - new wave - the eyes have muscles - to focus so the more your use tem the better they get - my eyes have reduced in focus froom 20- 20 to les cos of using a machine 24 7 - -- so i take lots of eye breaks and i wear sunglassses when using the machines -

I'm interersted in home remidies and do research by reading many old books of ayurveda and trying to find out easy to use and at the same time simple medicines prepared using ingrediants that are right in our kitchen instead of visiting pharmacy shop for every small reason.And i do suggest certain remedies to ppl on a forum as advisor.

After spending so much time in front of pc its causing and started creating many eye problems.So now came time to implement those on myself .So started doing some eye exercises and trying out some ayurvedic preparation purely prepared at home.its based on Indian ayurvedic system of preparation used some centuries back to cure various eye related diseases and still working without any side effects .Many getting cured by it at my place but i myself trying out on myself now since a few days.So only speaking so .It does work great "old is gold".
