What I meant by the paid listings are the listings that are on the right side of the google SERP's. These guys are paying a pretty penny to be there, and those who stay for a while are usually doing pretty well (unless they want to lose all their money )

As for question number two....depends on the topic but I pay between 15 and 25 dollars per. I ALWAYS get my money back in the end

Ah yes, I almost forgot...for books.. everyone must read "Dont Make me Think" by Steve Krug (I believe). This book has literally summed up the very basics of what to put on your site and where to put it...it works almost universally...

I bought the paper version of this and have made my money back literally 100 times over from it. Whether you're designing your own sites or overseeing a designer, you NEED this book. Without it, you might as well be telling your prospects "Fuck off. I don't want your money."

Read the download then invest in the paper copy. Holding it in your hands and being able to flip back and forth, reread, sticky note, hi-lite and smack myself in the forehead for not realizing some of this stuff before is invaluable.

Worst case scenario print it out. In color.

This book has literally helped me make thousands so far. It contains information that may seem obvious but I GUARANTEE that everyone who reads it will get something out of it. Usability is truly important when designing any website.

Anyways, thanks for relinking that book. It is truly one of the most valuable downloads available here at BHW.
