    Hello All,

After a long, long time of lurking around, downloading every single solitary Ebook, Audio Series, Software Fad, and Quick fix under the sun I decided to clean out my Hard Drive. This bullshit literally took over my life, I spent my days reading all of those crappy ebooks (granted a few were good) and my regular business was affected a great deal by this. After a long battle with information overload I deleted all of that bullshit, and I kept only what I felt I should focus on. After deleting 90% of what I accumulated I finally started to learn and make some real money.

Like many others, I was one to check out a method, try it for like 3 days, and say f*ck it an move on to the next "awesome" and "fool proof" method out there. This lasted for my first 4 months of trying the Internet Marketing game. I then started to realize that it was all pretty simple really...I stopped taking short cuts, I stopped using automated content, I stopped chasing that crazy automated millionaire pipe dream and I actually did some work. I hired a graphic artist, a part time article writer, and I more or less directed them as to what I wanted to accomplish. Instead of spending 20 hours wasting my time in generating regurgitated content, I paid a few dollars and got some real content created. I then stopped wasting my time in trying to be the Jack of all trades, swallowed my pride and let the graphic artist do some of my work for me.

Granted, this took a few dollars to accomplish, but in the end I feel that all of the time I wasted on "fad" methods cost me far more... Now I find myself in the black...I am actually making some real money here. I made my first 3000.00 in Internet Marketing over the last month...to some this may seem like very little, but to me this is a friggin' giant step.

Let me first say that I friggin love this forum more than any other place on the Internet... next I will say that I am proud that I have spent less time here in researching new methods, and sticking to the methods that I knew existed all along. I think through all of these first 6 months I have learned that as an Internet Marketer it is indeed wise to work smarter and not harder... but the keyword there is WORK. There will always be some work involved...I know a lot of you guys must be making a killing on the automated methods I have been bashing, but for me, I am going for the long term results, results I can bank on 6 months, 1 year or even further into the future.

Some of the tools and scripts I have "gotten" and purchased have been life savers for me. Some of the tasks I used to do with Pure White hat methods are now taking me 1/10 'th of the time. These tools, Article Post Robot, DigiXmas Products, Wordflood, and many others have saved me countless hours and are worth their weight in gold. I hope this serves as encouragement to some of the members here. I felt like quitting like 5000 times when I realized I had just thrown cash and time into a method that simply wasn't my cup of tea. Again, it was at this point that I rewinded, and went back to the basics, Thorough Keyword Research, Article Marketing, Web 2.0 Marketing (Authority BlackBook), Article Marketing (Using a cool method I developed - uses 5-6 tools), and most importantly quality content! I pay top dollar for an established English speaking writer to write all of my articles for me, but it pays. I have gotten so many more clicks in the resource boxes of my articles in the past 3 months, then I ever did with all of the other junk I did in total in my first 3 months.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my rant and I truly hope it helps someone, somewhere get through the bullshit and find their way in this crazy game. All of the members here are awesome, and I have received so much help and support from all of you guys and gals. I truly hope my success continues, and I feel that this is only the beginning. If anyone would like to know what I kept from my pile of useless ebooks and tools feel free to ask either here or via PM. I swear I must have spent 1000 hours reading through all of those books... ugh.

    To Everyones Success,
    Jeff

Congrats on your recent success. Your right about work, its all about how much of it you do though. Outsourcing is the key, thus working smart is the motto.

Great Job! It is funny how actual work will make you look back and say, WOW, I wasted a lot of time trying to get rich, and didn't actually spend any time creating it. Keep up the hard work and keep us updated on your success.

Same goes here. Spent so much time testing and buying stuffs and domains and blah blah blah. At the end, I have only 3 domains where I get descent traffic. Point is, there is so much information here that you need to stop logging in for a moment when you are trying to experiment something. hahaha..

    Jeff Congrats man!

$3,000 is my current goal as well, actuall I only want to make 50 bucks a day now...

I made some good money years ago online, but then life screwed me and I lost all my cash and fell to the bottom...

I am currently, working on building my online business again.
I am writing some general-niche articles on wordpress etc...

Could you please let me know what kind of niches to focus on?
What do you do, sell your own ebooks/memberships?
What are the ebooks and tools you kept and use over and over again?

From what I understand you need to write keyword optimized unique articles, keep posting new ones to your site, then social bookmark these...
    What else???

Heres a question... When you write unique articles for your websites do you use the same articles to submit to article-directories? Or do you write new articles only for directory submission?
I am not sure as to if the articles on my site should be 100% unique, because if I submit these to directories as well they wont be 100% unique...

    Anyway please let me know...

Also what niches are you in say general?
We might be in the same niches without knowing about it LOL

    May God Bless

that's was my problem also when i first came here. there's so much information you can get. I ended up downloading anyfiles/ebooks/software offered here but in the end, it didn't help me because i never use them.

I go back to basic, add some information/tools that i got here. download 1 ebook at a time, read it, apply it. It is much better than what i did before.

    Congrads!

I also agree that it is too easy to lose focus on what really matters with all of the ebooks, tools, etc out there to take away from what really makes the money.

You said "Article Marketing (Using a cool method I developed - uses 5-6 tools)," and I was wondering what tools you recommend for article marketing besides article post robot?

    Thanks!

    Hello All,

Wow, I am floored by the awesome response to everything I wrote. You guys are truly an excellent and positive influence here at BHW.

I will try to answer the questions as best as I can....

Could you please let me know what kind of niches to focus on?
What do you do, sell your own ebooks/memberships?
What are the ebooks and tools you kept and use over and over again?

I have been selling some ClickBank products, and I have finally started to work with CPA offers as well. I am doing my initial testing with CPA offers as we speak. I am having a few niche specific Ebooks written for me which will be used to incentivize a series of CPA offfers.

The tools that I use over and over again are WordTracker for some of my keyword research, PowerPPC for PPC management, Wordflood for QUALITY rewrites (more later - extended the thesaurus), Article Post Robot (with custom sites added), JetSpinner (Free) (time consuming but worth it). As for Ebooks, Authority BlackBook for web 2.0 work, I liked Atomic Blogging for all of my blog work (plugins are king), and for my base of White Hat I read the SEO Book, and Brad Callens version as well...

From what I understand you need to write keyword optimized unique articles, keep posting new ones to your site, then social bookmark these...

    - You pretty much hit it on the head there, but I also used A LOT of interlinking with all of my properly optimized and plugin filled blogs. In other words, I draw the engine in with the blog post (properly titled, tagged, and bookmarked) and make sure to have relevant links to the main site spread throughout the post so the spiders find their way to the same (but rewritten post) on my site... If you didn't guess I do a lot of rewriting :)

Heres a question... When you write unique articles for your websites do you use the same articles to submit to article-directories? Or do you write new articles only for directory submission?

I have my own little system going for both unique Article Creation (my writer) and rewrites (She does 5 rewrites per article, and I take care of the rest.... Yes all of my submissions are unique, but I expect dupe contnent because it is natural for other directories to snatch some articles up. Also...resource boxes...the source of my current success has come from UNIQUE resource boxes with varying relevant anchor text... takes time but it is well worth it. As far as distribution goes...if you use ALL of the features in Article Post Robot (worth buying) and actually add some directories to it...it reduces footprint and also gives you the ability to differentiate yourself form other users of the product. I am starting a little project soon to share the directories and make a brand new tested list for everyone to use ( ineed help with this one from whoever is interested...)

As for the niches....I spend 90% of my time in any selection of a niche on keyword research...SEODigger.com.....a little SpyFu......and WordTracker of course....I sell software mainly...Computer Maintenance stuff.. and for CPA offers I cannot reveal just yet :p

    Hope this helps,
    Jeff

Ah yes, I almost forgot...for books.. everyone must read "Dont Make me Think" by Steve Krug (I believe). This book has literally summed up the very basics of what to put on your site and where to put it...it works almost universally...

    hxxp://rap1dshare.c0m/files/72864461/dont_make_me_think._a_common_sense_approach_to_web_usability_2000_10_steve_krug_croppedrecombined.ra

Terrible scanned quality...but worth reading. I have been using these methods forever.
