Hi,

If my client is having multiple sites, and if we want to use same footer content on all the websites. Then it will be harmful or not by SEO perspective?

Note : 1. Can we use same footer content on all the webpages of website? and How?
2. Can we use 1st website's footer content in the 2nd website's footer content?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, so by using canonical tag we can use same footer content in all the subpages of a website. Also, if we are having multiple websites can we copy content of a website to another website?

Hello! In my view,

1. YES, You can use the same footer content on all the webpages of your website.
2. NO, you cannot use the 1st website's footer content in the 2nd website's footer content. You should add a new footer content for your different websites.

It's pretty common to use the same footer for all the webpages of the website but you cannot use the same footer for 2 different websites.

My opinion on this would be, Using the same footer on different websites might hurt how well they show up in search engines. It's better to make each website's footer unique to match its content. Sharing the exact same footer between websites can be bad for how well they show up in searches.

If you use the same footer on different websites, it could cause a problem. Search engines might see it as copying and affect how well those pages show up in searches.

you don't need canonical for footer text. But then again, I'm not sure what content you are talking about...

When you've first asked these questions I assumed that you mean the usual stuff that you find in footers (contact info, legal pages, etc), but apparently you are talking about something else??

Anyway, regardless of what content you're talking about I'm pretty sure you don't need to canonicalize the footer.

HI buddy, you can use the same footer content for different web pages without canonical tags.

Same footer content across the webpage might be consistency, efficient but at the same time it might look has duplicate content and limited relevance,

Using same footer for multiple websites may cause the duplicate issues.it might be difficult for search engine to rank.
No you cannot use it for 2nd website's footer content.

Why would you want the footer content to be the same on different websites? Each site should have its unique footer content. I mean, there is not much in the footer except a copyright message, a few important links, a logo, and legal pages. So why not make the footer style unique to match its content and style?

Using the same footer content across multiple websites can harm SEO due to potential duplicate content issues. It's advisable to customize the footer for each site to maintain uniqueness and avoid negative impacts on search engine optimization

-It's acceptable to use the same footer content across all pages of a single website for consistency.

-Avoid using the exact footer content from one website on another to prevent SEO issues; each website should have unique content.
