3. These subdomains start ranking quickly, and backlinks aren't even a priority

~ What we're seeing here is not only how EEAT signals are seemingly flawed, but also that sheer volume of content in some cases does bring in quick results (even with a complete lack of credibility behind it).


Are strategies like this sustainable? Probably not.


Are they bringing in lots of revenue now for many people? Absolutely.

So, if I understand correctly, redirecting the root domain to Google somehow helps the ranking of the subdomains?

You say there are lots of domains line this? Is it posible to send me PM with one example?

I have found loads of these domains when searching for one of my niche dating sites, they seem to scrape a little bit of content and maybe spin it a bit, but when you click on the link it just takes you to a generic dating site (probably a dating smartlink).

This is just one I found at #7 in the SERPS for dating (highly competitive niche).

When I try and go to the root domain I just get the Cloudflare error page ( Error code 522) - I guess this doesn't mean it's being redirected to Google.com?

When you site:domain.com there are over 22,000 results, so obviously must be using to script/bot to achieve this in such a short space of time.

But still very impressive indeed!

I actually was just talking to someone about this. Well kinda. Google is reacting to subdomains in a weird way right now it seems.

I rebranded and launched a new agency site about 6 months ago. I have clients and I'm preoccupied plus I wanted to see how Google was reacting to newly launched sites. Now I've done this xxxx number of times and the site usually indexes within a couple weeks. Especially if I'm building citations, submitting a sitemap, internal linking, and so on. And I did.

However 6 months later and only the home page had indexed.

Well, I have a web design project I'm working on for a client and used my domain of my agency to create a subdomain for the development. So clientsite.mysite.com

I blocked crawlers and added nofollow and there are no links to the pages on this development site. I'm serious, 0 internal linking and the menu doesn't work. Placeholder #. And every single one of the fucking clientsite.mysite.com pages indexed. And there's a lot.

And guess what? It also indexed the domains pages that have been stubborn for 6 months directly after those subdomain pages indexed.

Google is a trainwreck right now.

I can't understand what google is calculating. A series of my posts have not been indexed since the core update in October until now. My Moneysite sometimes shows up, and sometimes it doesn't show up. This situation occurs frequently.

There is more than you see with this method....that redirect is geo based and some sneaky cloaking is involved. Look at the source code of the root domain and main subdomains.
