What is Cold Emailing and How will this influence in 2024?

Hey everyone.


Hope you are doing great and well!

I have been really keen to know what is the Cold Emailing word comes from? or what is their logic in marketing? I know most of them doesn't know where does it comes from & someone would have known. (EXPERTS ONLY).

How will this influence in 2024? How would you evaluate your Cold Emails? PLEASE EXPERTS ONLY?

Is Cold Emailing really dead in near future as well?

So much questions pardon for asks a lot.

Looking forward for constructive and experienced response from you guys.

I've been cold emailing for about a year plus now and we send about 1-2k emails per day.

My deliverables to the clients are the number of emails delivered, and I CC the client for positive responses.

I run 2 rounds per batch of emails because I don't clean my emails.

So if I run to a batch of 100k emails and 30k bounces, I run my second round to the 70k with fresh messaging.

So far, I guess the best strategy would be to use it for appointment setting with business owners, for products that are higher ticket.

We tried campaigns reaching out to directors and managers and gotten bad results.

Best results and responses came from the C-suites, Founders and Business Owners.

IMO it works better than SMMA for B2B services/products and because of this, it gives better ROAS.

As long as emails are used for communication, I think it'll be here to stay.

Cold email is the most effective outbound lead generation you can get. I run 2 agencies in the Uk and my home country in South Africa. We onboard 4-6 new clients a month and generate the same for our clients over a few different niches.

It is an art, it’s getting more difficult and you have to seriously be on top of your game to make it work.

Lots of noise and saturation but understanding your ideal customer, the right messaging in value driven copy and a seriously tight tech stack and you will without a doubt scale your business.

Cold email literally changed my life and going into 2024 it will be more difficult which means the competition will definitely become less making way for the legitimate agencies to lead the way.

Yeah Sure that is tremendous journey in a very short time. What I observe is a copy writing skills much better for this work.
 
Can someone explain how is cold emailing different from spamming someone ? Are there laws in some countries to stop people from cold emailing other guys ?
