Hi everyone!

I'm new to this forum, but not new to IM at all.

I want to expand my business and need a reliable VPS to run some black hat scripts longterm. ;)

The GoDaddy plan for $29 sounds cheap to me with 2 GB RAM (!), so what's the catch?

Anyone tried their VPS?

Or maybe you can recommend me a reliable VPS for longterm business and running some black hat scripts?

First, they don't offer 2 GB for 29 USD, but 1 GB. For 2 GB you have to give 39 USD.

I have been using GoDaddy VPS for years, for web site hosting and as server for Internet radio station. There were eno problems with it, except that they update packages automatically, and therefore screw with Intrusion Detection Systems, but it shouldn't bother you too much.
On the cool side you get 3 free ips and theirs SImple Control Panel which is absolutely sufficient for all your needs. It is not cPanel, but you can do all necesarry configuration for firewall, services, domains and emails from there.

I hope I helped.

Thanks for your answer minute80!

With the price, it was my fault. It shows € instead of $ for me...

But even for that price I think it's a good deal.

But I think I'll wait for some more reviews...

Is it possible to upgrade to a higher VPS package when I take the "Economy" for the start?

i personally advice you not go with godaddy vps. There is lots of problem with their vps

D'you mean

Interesting. Are they reliable?

they have 30 day money back guarantee.. you can always check them and see if they are good or bad... Personally i have vps with them. If i have a problem it is solved very fast either their support or through their mail ticketing..
