I have a wonderful idea: Make less than 10 posts on a site and then suggest they change their branding and logo to your liking...

I say that jokingly of course, as he did try to contribute more than some people I have seen, but as the others have stated in different verbiage. Many users like the current logo and branding.

We kid because we care. And it is nice (if slightly misguided) that someone would put time into making something and asking for opinions on it.

@OP - just a thought - if you really want to showcase your talents and build up some good karma, maybe offer some free logos for BHer's who are more technically inclined and have crap design skills (like me .

ok we can talk many hours about this stupid logo.. but when I say just ask a professional designer it's mean really ask somebody he will say this logo is bullshit... and when I say ask a professional designer it mean who really good... as I said the typography is horrible and if the typo is horrible it's bullshit..this is the basic... it's easy as 1 2 3 and we don'T have to talk about the stupid star effect and stupid mirroring effect... but if you can't see these things ... ask a professional designer who can explain these things better... because I'm not a designer

Yeah it's a pretty simple (as in easy to make) logo but designing a logo isn't about using the latest effects. A good graphic designer will tell you that it isn't your own personal opinion that places the value of a design but what the majority of the people you show it to think of it.

I doubt Harro spent a few $100 getting it designed and it's definitely not something he needs to rush to replace as again it doesn't look horrible on the site.

I guess this is the another problem... this logo is definitely not simply another hand if study design you have to know this logo is bullshit... however I wrote it the logo is not important for this site... because blackhaters need usability and information... I never say, u have to use the latest effects... I said these effects are old and common and used several times on several sites and it's not unique

Clearly, nobody on this thread has been here long enough to know that there WAS a contest a while ago which garnered the current logo. At least the one before Harro re-did it. Nice job brother! Why did you even have the original contest when you're graphic arts expertise is so great?
