I've got a few interesting questions in my DMs and I also want to take the opportunity to publicly respond on these, in case more people are wondering about the same things.
Question 1: where to get more buyers of the link
Answer:
The book comes with a list of buyers who bought links from my websites over the last couple of years (cleaned for emails that would bounce, to ensure your better deliverability). This is a list of 3,500 people. In the eBook I mention that the percentage of those people you will convert is a likely very small - around 5%-10%. But that is already $10,000+, and it gets you going. A lot of those will be repeated buyers, too.
The venture, however, is self-sustaining for the most part, and majority of people in this game start without a list of buyers. This is because people naturally outreach to websites, asking for guest posts and niche edits.
Personally, I don't outreach to new buyers and haven't done it in years. I've started with a list of 200 buyers for my first website and ever since, people only outreach to me.
Question 2: Links validity or agreement with the buyer. Example, the link to be there forever, or certain period of time. Or chance to take down the link, if the buyer redirect the link to casino sites etc.
Is the book more suitable for blackhat site owner in terms of building the site to sell links? I am asking from perspective of a website builder that intends to scale and grow with display ads, but this as add on income. Not sure is that a viable thoughts.
You define which links are valid and what is the agreement. Make sure you mention that when you are selling the link. If you are not accepting links to casino websites, but someone ends up redirecting a website you link to a casino site, you are under no obligation to keep that link, and you can remove it.
I also offer lifetime placements, and have a criteria selection of which links I accept. I talk about that in more details in the eBook.
If you want to sell link placements on the side, while focusing on the monetization model with display ads, that is completely doable. You will likely have a stronger criteria - less sales, but at higher prices and from more legitimate businesses.
For example, Canva and many other high profile websites bought links from many websites I owned. They are all legitimate companies and websites I would link to naturally. But they actually paid me money to do so.
On the other side, you will always get requests from more shady websites - essay writing services, cbd, casino. Whether you will accept them or not is up to you.
