YouTube removed the way to know monetization status.

Same issue,plzz help

So to know if a channel is monetized, one would go to the homepage of the channel, then view the page source and find "monetization" and if it was true, then the channel is monetized. If false, then not monetized.

I just checked a channel and they seemed to remove this "monetize" word from the page source?
Why did they remove this feature ? Were some creators misusing this feature in some way ?

Any new method to check if a channel is monetized?
Not really, you can check on a per-video basis but doesn't really explain if it's YouTube that's placing ads on that video or the guy that did the video is getting any money too. It's a joke how many demonetized channels make money for YouTube. Basically working for them for free.

Isn't there someone brave enough to create an alternative platform? The same platforms for years. Innovation is good.

Youtube is devolving into a piece of shit .You have a dislike button that doesn't even work. You can't even put links in the video description until your channel has enough "history"
Only if you don't know what your doing

Checking a channel's monetization status through the page source may not always be accurate, as YouTube regularly updates its code structure. Instead, you can look for clear signs on the channel itself. Monetized channels often display ads, have a "Join" button for channel memberships, and feature merchandise shelves. YouTube also provides a public monetization status in the channel's "About" section, stating whether it's eligible for monetization or not. It could also mean there is a present issue behind the scene about that account.

Damn, and yes you are right, one of my channels is currently demonetised and I get like 10k views daily on it and they still put ads on my videos and I get 0 profit from it haha, that's the tough truth. As Top G said, you are basically doing all the work on their platform and they get the funds and you will eventually get paid that 55% in case you obey.

This is a big change but why did they do it. Is it to hide the fact that they favor some creators?

Do you determine whether there is monetization on a channel by checking the yt_ad parameter on the video pages of a given channel?
Hello, this is already checked in the videos. We even show how many ads there are in the video and the seconds of the ads on the video (ad intervals).

This tool is not accurate, is showing monetization enabled on videos that aren't monetized. I use it for extracting tags but to know monetization nothing is accurate now.

Have you reached the required watch hours, and how many subscribers do you have?
