SendGrid for Cold Email?

Hi everyone,

Since Google is coming up with new rules for cold email from Feb 2024, I was thinking of using alternatives such as SendInBlue and Sendgrid. Does anyone have experience sending cold emails from these platforms? If yes that is how you handle FBL, spam complaints, etc.

Is this highly technical?

SendingBlue, SendGrid, MailChimp, getresponse.... all these platforms are not for cold emails and it's against their terms and condition. They will ban your account quickly.

Build your own SMTP servers, you'll need some syslinux skills and a good understanding of how mailing works from understanding the basics to knowing how to setup PowerMTA, MailWizz, Mumara...

Or use a premade solution that allows you to send using many Gmail/Outlook and proxies

How come it's both personalized and automated?

Did you manually set it up or do you use some AI to fill it with personalized details?

I struggle to find the balance between sending highy personalized cold emails (takes time to even send one) vs sending a bunch of niche-specific copy and pasted ones (faster, less personal).

If you can get an old SendGrid account, they're more forgiving when it comes to cold emailing.

I agree with setting up your own SMTP server, and you might want to use email warm up services to warm up your IP

Sendgrid is not for cold email. What you need is a custom solition that allows mass emails to non-optin list.
