Lol, I am thinking of Bing ads lately for promotion, you know, just in case people (prospects) start using Bing more than Google for search.

In my experience (since a few months back), when searching for something, I started getting more and better results on Bing than on Google. Results at Google are mostly Ads nowadays and the others are many times not related or not useful. I think that their algorithm committed suicide some time ago.

My point is, none of this is new and I wouldn't even say it's necessarily gotten worse, just more obvious to the average consumer.

As for the internet in general, it's either going to be controlled by Google for them to display whatever they want, or it's going to be spammed to death by individuals trying to make money. I've always fancied myself a revel who finds loopholes in rules and takes advantage of them for my own gains, so I know what I prefer.

I can agree with almost every word in your comment. However, I would like to add my 5 cents to these sentences I quoted.
1) It has become more obvious definitely because it has just become worse - the % of shiteload on the Net has increased exponentially, and, as any other ecosystem dies when it is overpolluted, so does also Internet.
2) Google MIGHT be tempted "to bring an order in their house". However, if they do, society will probably lose one of its most valuated features - freedom on the Internet. Do I want to meet a massive mechanism of censorship, initiated by the privately owned mega-corporation? I am far from being sure I do.
