Okay so I've been getting a ton of PMs/IMs/love letters etc since starting this section so I thought it might be good to start a Q&A so I don't have to repeat myself 1000 times

I'm very busy at the moment with various business and personal related issues but that won't stop me checking by this thread to help you all out.

One question, is it frowned upon to create a website, stick wordpress on it and upload 10-20 PLR articles that target long-tail keywords and send a blast of around ~1000 backlinks to the website then flipping it?

Absolutely not! That's a great way to start flipping and you'll quickly get an idea what buyers look for/don't look for. My advice would be not to do any SEO work before selling, but offer it as an incentive for them to BIN instead (1000 backlinks if you BIN blah blah). Works a treat

Anything sells But joking apart, I would recommend using Wordpress for all of your sites since the majority of buyers will be familiar with the platform (or can learn easily).

That's not to say Xsitepro sites won't sell, especially if they are mini MFA-type sites, although I would recommend these more for personal use than flipping.

Why is it that I never see anyone actually post on dp threads for sites for sales? However many of the threads have 100+ views?? How many sites actually get sold on dp?

What is the best way to protect yourself from scammers that will bid, "pay", you give them the site ownership, and then they filled a paypal resolution for not getting the product (once they have access to DNS)?

Sites do sell on there, although it isnt usually as interactive as Flippa as sales are generally lower end or complete crap

I find DP is a great place to buy from if you are prepared to go through a ton of sales threads until you find a gem.

Instead of giving them your Paypal address, invoice them through the Paypal system as goods. Then zip up the site files and put them on a CD. Post this to the buyer with a tracking number.

Paypal will have an invoice, tracking number and 9/10 you will win the dispute.

But for sites less than $300 it is not very profitable to add the Fedex/UPS cost.

Ah in that case, asides from doing your due diligence on the buyer it is tricky with Paypal. It's all part of the game, you win some, you lose some. Generally you will win assuming you invoice them and keep good track of all communications etc.

@Gimme.The.Loot - yes this is a blackhat forum, but to be honest, site flipping is a white hat revenue stream for me. It requires you to build a good reputation and a solid client base in order to be successful longer term. If you literally want to sell one site and never sell again (at least under the same alias) then I'm sure there are ways to spoof GA, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it if you want to realise any sort of long term income.

Are there any niches that will guarantee a sale? Such as "tv streaming site" or may a "movie streaming site". There just examples, but you get the picture.

If we say I pay just for the listing and bold title now. Can I then feature the same auction later on without paying the other things again?

Also do you really still think featured is needed?

Shouldn't it still be possible to get a decent price for your sites without it?
