From the creators' perspective, it's a very good move but what about the visitors? Google has become greedy as everyone has said in this forum.

Is really annoying, I'm ok with the ads but there are just a few to really get me angry and are the only ones I see the all time, but it was a really good move from youtube, but people is being finding some ways to skip them like start the video keep it for 5 or 10 seconds then move the cursor till the end another 5 or 10 seconds let it finish reload the site and the all video will load with no ads but not always work I believe I'm doing something wrong but is a really good way to promote their youtube premium and escape the millions of ads in their videos.

I only get ads for shit scammers. "Buy my shit course become a billionaire over night". Google doesn't seem to have any quality check for YouTube video ads anymore.
Dude, ads are interest based lol

yes they are, usually an ad is related to the video that you are watching, I’ve noticed that while I’m watching marketing videos I get ads about website hosting

Interesting. Ad Block Plus is still working on my end, let's see what happens the coming days.

I saw a glimpse of that shit tonight, I clicked away and it is not shown again.

Not sure if they are going to fully force on every body in the near future.

For sure, I will bypass and if not move from the platform, Currently the competition is HOT, so they can't force shit.

Nahh, people who say google is greedy for not allowing ad blockers on youtube are the ones who are actually greedy and stupid.

I mean, come on man, I don't know what kind of environment you're living in but you cant just use someone else's service without paying. thats stealing in a sense lol.

Google invested astronomical amount of money on their servers and you just want to use them without giving them anything in return, tell me whos being greedy again

I using ublock+chrome and i dont see any anti-adbloker message yet

YouTube provides a free service. They pay creators and themselves through ads (or premium membership). Using an ad blocker means you're not paying the creator or YouTube for the free service you received. There are alternative streaming platforms, but you don't want to go there, because YouTube has the best platform. Who's being greedy?

100% this. It blows my mind people are complaining a business (and creators) wants to make money. I'd expect something like this from Reddit, but not from a forum full of entrepreneurs who pay for hosting and have a general understanding how expensive it would be to run a service like YouTube.

This is coming from someone who actively uses brave browser with ad block enabled. If/When the party is over, I'll be paying for premium or sticking through watching ads.

Ads? What ads? :p

Seriously, this is one of the best subscriptions you will ever buy. Totally worth it.

i do not get ads on my youtube account
i guess it has been shitlisted by google.
it has been 3 years, i am not getting a single ad on my youtube account

Newpipe is a good open source android app that pulls from youtube. Totally ad-free and lets you download videos as mp4, mp3, and play with phone screen locked.

don't think they can defeat ublcok as I never have seen that warning for my account
