I have a bunch of YouTube music channels in the EDM and pop music niche, ranging from 20k all the way up to 150k subs, pulling about 300,000 views per month in total. (haven't uploaded in months)

The majority of videos on those channels is claimed by Content ID.
~2 years ago they all got dropped from the YouTube partner program (and thus are not earning any money from ads.

What are good alternate ways to monetize those channels?

What is needed in order to get them monetized again?

Do I have a chance if I switch to solely uploading lyric videos or would I have to delete all claimed videos?

Would love to hear your ideas!

Bumping the thread as I'm still looking for input on this!

You have very strong account. The best way it is craete your own music and promote streams, and earn money by Content ID

What do you mean by "promote streams" ?

Have you tried monetizing the videos through an MCN?
Most MCN only accept channels of my size if they are approved for monetization. Are there even decent MCN out there for music curators?

I mean botting, your own viewers.

What's the point? How is that gonna help me monetize?
Create your own music (generate with AI, buy music). Upload music video with your music claimed by Content ID. But it is your Contend ID. Get money from distributor.

Been thinking about creating a music channel.

Doing mixes with virtual dj or something similar... and monetizing it with affiliate links rather than the YT partner program.

From your experience, would I be able to upload music without getting the videos taken down?
