From just changing published date to changing title, adding faq, list, table to rewriting the whole thing whatever works.

agree! it highly depends on the intent and the topic. I'm just wondering what is the right frequency of doing it.For some articles, they need to be updated every few months or they will not be relevant. Some evergreen content also needs update but most likely in a year or so.
