Media quality suffers with this BHW new solution

I am not sure if this applies to all accounts but media quality suffers significantly with whatever I want to upload and it makes things a bit difficult.

I can't update my existing sales threads nor can I open new ones as the quality is just terrible.

Weeks ago I opened a thread here with the same issue that was closed almost immediately and asked to contact support, but they didn't manage to help me.

It seems that whatever file is being uploaded the forum assigns a default size and width and reduces the quality automatically.

The existing BSTs with Imgur images got converted automatically with normal quality, but everything else gets reduced.. this has been designed like this on purpose.

If I have media that has some smaller text on, the images get too blurry.. this makes the entire BST looking as unprofessional.

How can we fix this, are there or will there be any alternatives to this BHW upload function, my images are significantly under 1MB and I am still not sure why I get reduced even further and further to lower the quality.

Hi there!

We have file size restrictions in place as many sellers used to overestimate the necessary size for their images resulting in slow loading BST pages, which is not something you want for a sales thread.

The max size is 2MB per image as explained in our newbie guide thread here, so no need to keep it under 1MB.

In reference to your other thread being closed, all forum suggestion threads are meant to receive an answer before being closed as explained here in our section rules.

Unfortunately Imgur ended up purging content that was not attached to an Imgur account which is why this change was made.

Third party image platforms for BST images have been unreliable in the past. It just makes more sense for us to have our own image hosting, so BHW media was made!
