Anyone know how to increase search volume for a particular keyword?

(or if there's any existing guide on here on how to do so?)

You are trying to brain control people to search for a term more? lol not possible unless you are doing a seasonal niche.

You need to find the keywords that get traffic, think like human would.

If I miss understood and you are just trying to increase your rank for a keyword on site, buy backlinks.

For ex.. I'm aware there are some services that will automate search for a particular keyword... and then click on your site to potentially help ranking. (Where this is artificially manipulated)

I would like to do the SAME thing... but don't really care for the click.

I just want to increase the search volume for that particular keyword in data panels.

(Use case: I basically have a cousin who builds custom fishing boats from scratch and want to show him that his company has a high search volume in ahrefs, google trends, etc... for his company name - that's it. I'm not charging him for anything, just want him to feel good about his business)

You can’t manipulate ahrefs or semrush without harming your friends site. You won’t get organic traffic for a keyword unless you rank for that keyword or you are doing google ads. You can’t manipulate searches lol ,not how it works. Better off using inspect element. Stuff you see in semrush , if they are getting traffic from a keyword, it means they are ranked.

And I can't see an increase in search volume for a particular keyword, in any situation, having any negative consequences.

It's legitimately for vanity reasons only.

I've definitely seen manipulation of Ahrefs search volume in the past (though maybe not as much since their recent calculation adjustments) so it's possible. There are all sorts of traffic and click bots out there, I reckon it's just a case of finding those that are actually recognised as real users rather than bots.

Exactly my thoughts as well. (and it's still going on because I just saw it on one domain the other day)

I've seen keywords with 65k+ search volume in India (for a company name) with absolutely ZERO substantiating evidence of trends or virality. Zero news, press in search results, etc...

Literally random company names, too. It's crazy.
