Bro it's movie racap, it only does movies, in my other niche YouTube channel I scrape content from the news, and it generates images using stable difussion or if that step fails it will scrape from Google.

Did you get any conversion yet? Im starting to get 75 clicks per day on my affiliate links but no conversion. I also added a random widget at the top of the video that says "Links are in the description" and it boosted my clicks
I sped up the TTS voice because nowadays people have ADHD, they need fast content (mrbeast style)
still waiting for elevenlabs to not cost a million $ per day to operate
actually wondering if I should create separate youtube channels with the same content but in differents languages
YT has a feature to have multiple audio source in 1 video (this will fuck up the cut of the videos tho)

0 conversion yet on affiliates the channel only has 149 subscribers, but around 144,000 views, I have gotten around 1000 clicks on affiliate but no conversion lol

Yeah sorry once I get it monetized I will try to share as much as possible, at the moment the watch rate is about 80% the length of the video so it's good.

Haha I just checked right now and today it has gone down to 76% retention not 80% anymore. The best tip I can give you is do what works for you best, ( try / test / improve ) that's why I do, I don't go by whatever people post here or on other forums I try everything and I move forward with what works for me. Simply have your own identity and don't follow too much others.

I struggle with 40% retention. Maybe my niche is the problem.

40% is not bad, let's say for example on one of my videos which is 10 minutes long exact.
I have a retention of 90% on the first 2 minutes, but after 7min is 76% and those that reach the end of the video is 65%. I don't think the problem is the niche (althought yes it has a lot to do with views) I think it may also had to do with the voiceover you are using, if the voice over is bad quality or sounds techy robotic or something similar then people tend to not listen or watch much of it.

Hey, good luck with your journey! I m also in movie recap niche, I have posted 10 videos so far, a little bit slower start, but I hope that will be improved in coming weeks. Everything is naturally, I do not use any SMM. Also, videos are done by editor manually and the script is written by writer.
