Has it Begun? Google AI creates buzz

I think ai will kill most of the Internet.

The more advance ai get the easier all socail / afflicate marketers get ban.

Accounts soon will be Impossable to get no matter what your into.

Secuity will be so tight 1 account to all services will mean 1 account.

Anti browser detect won't mean nothink in the end and When that happens we are really in crap.

If ai can re program it self aginst fingerprint online marketing will go dead.

Yes there be other ways to earn hopefully but will cost a small fortune to be a marketer.

That the new change comming wait and see.

AI aginst ai, avarage user finished, only money makers hanging In there.

Accounts will cost a fortune and services to maintain marketing will be heavy money.

Welcome to the shitty digital world comming very soon no cash just digital currency.

The new Google ai browser design is the new way of life.

Google complete ai controlled and if you ant on the list with payed indexing, you won't get seen fullstop, Google not looking at the people info they got there ai to provide there content that stored from other sourse,
They don't need indexed websites to survive like old times.

There building and getting content feeds from elsewhere.

This is a whole life reset wait and see

You think I am joking, keep this post of mine open it before Xmas then re read it.

I really hope Google gets dethroned for this BS, first ads dominated half of the first page, now AI is taking up the second part.

I am not sure how google being dethroned or not will NOT help us small publishers.

Assume one website is supposed to get 1000 clicks

-- zero-click searches of more than 50%. so in effect, the content creator gets only 500 clicks

on top of that 20-30% VPN and ad blockers users

so in reality, we get ad revenue for only or less than 25-30% of our efforts.

The larger picture is how we can sue them and get what we deserve. and cases are already being filed against bing/openAI. and all these years of being slaves to google. now we will be lucky if we don't have to pay from our pocket to maintain little what we have.

I have been hearing this phrase for years lol
Yes, you have been hearing it for years but now it is finally coming true. SEO will be very dead soon, just read the article, it is no longer about ranking, AI will scrape the web for answers, Google will no longer show links to sites in search result, Google will be like a bigger ChatGPT.

Google had ai In Place many years back and they got billions to invest to make it number 1

Google ai can re write it self and a real self learning.

Afflicate won't ever get thu a ai system we are all fucked.

Cloakers got no chance ai willl read the pages there self, there no afflicate links allowed.

AI will destroy all marketers there nothink good to be said about Ai for afflicate

No marketing services will be wanted as google hiding or not showing nothink that added free on the ai new system.

This is a drastic change in Google so your SEO will be very dead. Maybe you just don't understand it that is why you think you will survive. I have been doing SEO since 2008 and I am one of those who laugh every time someone says that SEO is dead, but this time I am no longer laughing because I understand the change that they will be doing in Google, SEO will effectively be obsolete.

Ok 2.0 :)

Thank you captain obvious.

Were you one of the geniuses that volunteered to act as a catalyst and used GPT to no end to promote his blogs thinking such a game changing tool by a tech monopoly would come without any costs? Or one of the cynics that avoided what’d prove to be a detriment to a free market and open source productivities when it completely unfolds?

I'm getting my popcorn.

I know @splishsplash won't take this lying down.

Let's get ready to RUUUUMMMMMBBBBLLLEEEE !

This sounds grim....

Damn this is fucked up, time to move onto social media and other industries

trying to be influencer is easier than trying to get traffic from SEO lol. and no, being prompt engineer is the most overrated career ever. I can easily learn how to engineer prompts by just experimenting within 1-2 days. there is someone at buymeacoffee who conquer a lot of "GPT insights" facebook pages, and you can pay him $5 just for him to show you how he does it, and suddenly you are a prompt engineer expert lol.

And when it comes to art, you can just upload whatever image you want to midjourney, use "/describe" and reproduce similar results with "--repeat", why on earth anybody needs to hire prompt engineers? all these efforts will only take minutes.

It can scrap now, true, but if the majority of blogers, all go out of business because of no clicks / no views / no income , soon there will be nothing new to scrape.
I dont think that normal person will get all the info from wikipedia or few other high DA sites.
Also, even with all the speed in the world, complitly switching search to generating answer will take time. Now maybe is more or less fast, but imagine that all the Google search is going to Google AI - it will colaps.
I think that what they show is a showcase to tell the world what they can, and in the end it will be like in the Bing - to have option, normal search or chat

The way they will show the SERP will be very different, the top of the serp will be eaten by what they call “AI snapshot", Google's answer to your query, it will be composed of 5 or more paragraphs and it will occupy the whole screen of your phone. The blue links will still be there but on mobile phones they will only be visible if the user will swipe up. But most users won't swipe up because the AI snapshot will be enough for most users. Very few will look beyond the AI snapshot.

OK, lets say that Google implementation will be like you say. I have 2 questions
1) From where will they get data for that AI snapshot in the future, if there is no money motivation for publishers to produce data? Now its easy
2) What procesing power will be needed to switch the search to that AI snapshot? And what will be the speed from the moment the user imputs till he gets the answer? We are now penalized for slow user experience if the page is slow as the user is used to get the answer fast.

Good thinking, if they do implement that i am going to forcefully with script send them millions of searches per minute with captcha breaker so that each of them goes through.

I've seen this coming for years, long before this AI Saga.

About 2 years back, I started creating a community around a brand, my brand.

Fast forward, on average, I get 50k unique hits on my blog, mostly from newsletter traffic and Social Media - earnings are around 20-25k/month. For some is not a huge number, but for me is more than enough.

From the G search engine point of view, I don't give a sh*t. I don't care about organic traffic or writing with SEO in mind. In fact, if you analyze the articles I wrote you'll laugh - they really suck in terms of SEO "best practices".

I realized long ago to not rely on organic traffic, so today, I am safe from this madness and possibly, future hell.

Honestly just wonder if there’s genuinely any legal barriers that’s stopping Google and Microsoft from creating their own CMSs like squarespace, or even there own marketplaces at this point. Surely they are more than capable of putting something proper together with the kind of budgets, resources and expertise they have.

I don't think Google will do that, imagine they would create something similar, which everyone can create?

I mean AI which answers basic search questions is easily creatable, these days, where you can buy API of ChatGPT,
