Hello everyone,

I've got a project dropped after the December Helpful Content Update and Spam link update.

When I was analyzing the GSC I found that there was a huge drop in FAQ rich results.

As you can see, it consist about 25% of total clicks and impressions. I tried to figure out what this metric could mean for my SEO strategy, but there were only information about what FAQ rich results are in general, how to use schema to set up it, etc.

Could you explain me please,
1) What could such a huge drop in FAQ rich results be talking about?
2) What I can try to change to make it better?

Google treats FAQ sites with PAA headings as PAA spam sites.
Source of that info?
also what you mean by that. Sites that have normal articles + FAQ section at the end, or the sites where articles are the actual FAQs?

My opinion is yes. Might consult other people here though.
My blog has no faq sections
Thanks, I've found some more info following your reply. Going to rewrite some FAQs, and delete some and then look for what will change.

My personal opinion based on anecdotal evidence.
Especially for highly competitive niches big G spies on the SERPS too often.
Most people add a FAQ section with PAA keywords in hopes of winning the featured snippet.
Big G considers this thin content imo
