Hi guys,
I looked through the article on abcnews, and then, I slided the page down the bottom, guess what? I saw this ads


In my opinion, they are selling some products around the weight loss. I clicked the ads and redirected into the single page for my curiosity. Yes, I was right. They truly sell some products of the weight loss. But when I clicked the logo of this website, it redirected again into another website for that page. I was confused what technique they used.

Also, we can't open this website (healthy guru) on the phone or PC. I even found my american friend to help me open this website, he can't. Jesus! How did they do that?

Without the exact site it's hard to say exactly, but these sites are fairly common and operate the same way.

But when I clicked the logo of this website, it redirected again into another website for that page. I was confused what technique they used.

The whole website is only the landing page. Most people don't click around, so even if you click on the logo it just redirects you to the article. It just means they can spin up dozens of landing pages faster since they don't have to make a fully operational website for each vertical or angle. People who fall for these aren't that bright so you don't have to worry about them clicking around and checking other articles. The ones that do, probably wouldn't convert anyway.

Plenty of reasons for this. They might want to hide traffic from the affiliate network, taboola, competitors using spy tools, maybe their tracker is setup that way, etc. There's no specific 1 reason.

They're using a script to deny direct access.. Search google for "site:healthy-guru.com" and you'll see all their landing pages. Clicking on those will show you the actual page.. looking at the source they're using a few domains and they're all labeled as having Malicious Activity when put through a Malware analysis (like https://any.run ). Here's the script he's using:

But I only found 12 pages on Google when I search site: healthy-guru.com. Is it normal? They have more than 1M traffic on similarweb
