Looking at the 7 day graph of Bitcoin at Coinmarketcap. The graph looks like a stable coin graph.

Are these exchanges just a scam? I would not expect a free market price to behave like a stable coin.

Your Thoughts?

Bitcoin is up over 65% since the start of this year, beating major commodities and stock Indexes.

7 days is a short period of time from which no specific data can be collected.
So your statement is wrong.

As you say, Sir!

OP is right that i's treading sideways for quite a while now. It's been stuck in this region for weeks.

Anyway you're right, it's up lie 70% on the year, still down 60% from ATH tho.

IMO it's gonna rally again, but I confess it's taking longer than anticipated, especially with USA regulators trying to impose their CBDC and going after crypto.

Maybe not immediately now, but in near future, there is a possibility that the worldwide currency will only be dependent on Bitcoins.

Exchanges do not decide the price of Bitcoin. The demand / supply (buying / selling) of Bitcoin decides the price of Bitcoin.
Buying / selling of Bitcoin is mostly done THROUGH exchanges, but that is a totally different story.
Bitcoin price definitely is affected by whales who manipulate Bitcoin price, but that is a totally different story.
Exchanges do not decide the price of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin price moving sideways for a while is obviously indicative of the whales ready to soon pounce on both the leveraged long trades AND the leveraged short trades. And obviously, the whales work along with the exchanges, as a gang operation. Why ? Millions of (US) dollars are made, on an ongoing basis, when leveraged trades get liquidated. So, to "make it happen" (as it always happens), the exchanges and the whales are all part of the manipulation gang. As simple as that.
Bitcoin price moving sideways for longer than expected, is as usual an indication of a big "wave" hitting (as it usually happens, nothing new). If Bitcoin price moves sideways for longer than expected : It means that BOTH long trades AND shorts trades will get "sucked", by a big "up" and big "down" OR a big "down" and a big "up" dance by the whales, quite soon, as it usually happens (nothing new at all).

Yes, I also noticed it. It's been so calm since many days. But it is for a brief period I guess.
It should take direction this week as USA CPI data is coming.

If stable means a variance of ~500 in a 24hr timeline
jesus christ, please save us

From my point of view, that's even more unnatural. How can the price sattle down to the same baseline with so many jumps.

We all need saving, one way or another. Don't we. :D

Bitcoin has shown big fluctiations in last 10 years. It cannot be termed as a stable coin based on performance till now.

i belive it will be stable coin, when market mature. not now for sure
