Hi
Is adding image on WordPress posts by URL good for SEO, google accept that?

Anyone use this method??

it's not against the law, but it's immoral (and may get you into legal issues for copyrighting infringement if you hotlink a big site that has influence). And you're also stealing the bandwidth, so... no bueno :)

Moral of the story: don't do it! Just host the images on your own server. If you have a website you have a server, so you can host them yourself...

Using an image URL in a WordPress post can have several benefits:

1. Faster website loading times: If you use the URL of an image that is hosted elsewhere, it can reduce the burden on your own website's server, leading to faster loading times.

2. Better SEO: When using images in your WordPress posts, search engines rank sites with properly optimized images higher than those without. By hosting images on a third-party platform and using their URLs instead of uploading them directly to your site, search engines will recognize these external links as relevant and authoritative sources.

3. Reduced storage space usage: Uploading multiple high-quality images directly to your site can take up a lot of storage space on your server which may end up slowing down the website speed or make it more difficult for you to manage all of the files yourself – by not uploading any media files and hot-linking them from another source this issue is avoided altogether.

4. Access to better quality imagery: It might be possible that high-quality versions of an image are available only on some external platform compared to what you have locally stored that may be compressed or not suitable for web-use; therefore linking such images via URLs can allow access to better quality imagery at minimal cost for media storage.

Ocoya makes it easier for Social Media Managers & Marketers as they can easily schedule photos or videos from external sources like GDrive, Dropbox etc with just one-click - instead of having each file locally saved on device!
