How to target main keyword with EMD Domain?

I bought an EMD Domain but I am confused about How should I target my main keyword Because my main keyword is in EMD, So should I optimize my home page for my keyword or should I make another page to target my main keyword?

Because for targeting my main keyword I have to make a pillar post that's why it could be very long, So what do you think should I create another page like example dot com/example, or write a pillar post on the home page and then interlink to another supportive article?

One more thing when I check SERP for my main keyword, No home page is ranking for that keyword, only pages ranking for it.

this is good news usually, because if you manage to build up enough authority for this domain - and given that it's an EMD - you're going to smoke all of your competitors out of the water because homepages are way harder to knock out of SERPs than internal pages when they're very authoritative and relevant to the topic of the site.

you don't need another page (and you would run into keyword cannibalization issues anyway if you have 2+ pages trying to rank for the same keyword). Just optimize the homepage for the EM keyword.
