Google Play Spam 2022

1. Between 2011-2019 Google was giving installs and traffic to indie apps / games in massive scale. 100k installs in 1 day? No problem!
Now, you need to invest in ads to get userbase. Forget about 100k-500k installs from store itself. If you get it, it's just temporary luck
Most of traffic is going to big brands or social media apps like TikTok. Hype for apps is over. People just don't need apps.

2. Yes, if you can buy IDs from somewhere
3. Yes, if you can find it cheap
4. Probably yes, reskin time ended in 2015. From that time, you need to make not reskin but recoding, changing huge amount of code, so it's better to just make own apps
I am trynna find where to buy IDs, it would be great if you have any recommendations.

You have found my thread from the past, it's like prehistory now. I am not doing android now for last 3 years, because no traffic reason and increasing the complexity of android apps.
I don't remember how long I was working, but a lot.
Hello, read an older post of yours where you talk about using the "for" keyword to whitelist a brand name. For example App For Reddit. Do you know if that works for multiple names like in the example?

Example: Notifier for Reddit,Twitter,Locals

Thanks!

Check the Google Play Store. You will find many. Also, it works best with guides. For example, guide for minecraft will survive much more than minecraft MCPE tips.

Thanks for your clarification, do you know of any other words that have the “magic” ?(aside from “for”)

Also wanted to ask you, if you use the "for" magic word, do you also need to "Provide advance notice to the Google Play App Review team" that you are using copywrited brands/etc?

When you send an "Advance notice" you will get better chances to not get banned on the future, however, you can get denied before start, it's your move. The only why to know it's trying.

Have you tried the advanced notice thing? Has it worked?

Have you tried publishing without the advance notice? Did it work?

I see lots of examples on store with the “for” strategy…but I have no idea what % used advanced notice and which not..

1 - Yes, I used it when I want to publish some app with a brand or when I use a webview to tell they that the domain it's mine and works fine.
2 - Of course, but as I already said, be careful, some times/things works, some not, you need to test.

Ok thank you so much for the info! When you send advanced notice, what do you say? Do you include any documentation?

Just wanted to update..published with the "for" keyword and listed a lot of items after that (think "remote control for"), it worked. Also now on GPlay it seems that the first review is done by a human (and takes up to 7 days or even more).

Quick question: will asking friends/family to download and rate my app get me shadowbanned? Any bad effects?

No, unless you have a very big family (50 or more users) and all of them are using the same ip and location.

I have a method to not get limited on Google Admob. I work with ads outside app and i am safe never been limited with my method. The only thing i find toi hard on google play is to rank too fast.

Saw in one of your posts from 2019 that after 45 days Google Play gives you organic traffic, is that still true?

Fifth day after release my app is not searchable. However the same app on the Apple store does allright.
