You are clearly misinformed.Trading as a career requires a lot of capital and a lot of study, so if you don't have a budget of at least 50k
There is a new concept in trading called "prop firms'. Yes they require lots of risk in order to pass their "challenges" but once you got the funded account lower the risk and you can manage a 50k account for $350.What you're asking doesn't make much sense, you're not asking to choose between SEO and social media marketing, which may have points in common...but between two completely different things!
Trading as a career requires a lot of capital and a lot of study, so if you don't have a budget of at least 50k, don't even think about it. What you see on social networks, i.e. "influencers" who make a lot of money with sums like 100 or 1000 euros, are scams.
If you like both worlds, the ideal would be to focus on SEO and take up trading as a hobby. Or mix the two worlds, creating sites related to the trading niche, and then monetize with affiliations (which pay very well) but your post didn't give us enough information to understand what you're referring to...
I know, I've been in the industry for 5 years and I live in it.There is a new concept in trading called "prop firms'. Yes they require lots of risk in order to pass their "challenges" but once you got the funded account lower the risk and you can manage a 50k account for $350.
Also you have different type of prop firms for example: Monthly challenge where you have to pass within a month, yearly challenge where you have to pass within a year, or no trading period at all.
Of course all of these prop firms and different type of challenges have some kind of rules to them which make them less attractive such as daily and overall drawdown, no news trading, no weekend holding, no arbitrage.
However these prop firms still seem like the best option for beginning traders and even advanced traders with limited capital.
You are clearly misinformed.
You can get a 10 K prop firm account for $150.
Times were you needed 50K are long over.
Does not make sense, you are right they probably make their money with people failing the challenge but I have been with them since August 2022 and have been paid every single time. It does not really matter how they make their money as long as they are paying.I know, I've been in the industry for 5 years and I live in it.
Realistically, you cannot base a career on forex prop firms.
I don't want to go into too much detail, but I would 100% advise against it, as after a few months it's very easy to get out of their rules.
Real prop trading firms would never ask you to pass a challenge, they just look at the certified results you have and their duration.
Think 90% of traders lose money on the financial markets...so consequently, what is the main source of revenue for prop firms? Challenges being lost or traders making profits? the answer is easy.
Yes, in 5 years of career and 3 that I live of this I am completely uninformed, yes..
10k? 10k is fine to start.

A real prop trading firm (which certainly hardly operates on CFDs, which are more for the RETAIL public, being an unregulated market where 90% of the time you will not actually be placed on the market) certainly does not ask you for 2 months of trading . To access, at least you must have 2 years of trading certified by a platform such as myfxbook for example, in the case of cfds since we are talking about those in these posts.Does not make sense, you are right they probably make their money with people failing the challenge but I have been with them since August 2022 and have been paid every single time. Btw this is based on the assumption that they make their money with people failing, however you can not say with certainty that this is the case and that this is the case for every prop firm out there.
"Real prop trading firms would never ask you to pass a challenge, they just look at the certified results you have and their duration." Passing a challenge is a real time certified result. Maybe you should look more into the challenges these are not easy to pass, I can tell you that.

Forex prop firms are whitelabeled and is just another way to monetize retail traders.
In any case, I never said they don't pay, but they are not things to base a CAREER on.
Okay.Yes, in 5 years of career and 3 that I live of this I am completely uninformed, yes..I am friends with many broker and prop firm owners. But surely you are more informed.
