Arvixe - anyone host with em?

Well, tomorrow evening after a nice 12 hour day of niche selection + KW research etc. (first SEO project) Im going to be buying hosting.

I've found arvixe. http://arvixe.com

They seem decent, im intending to buy this plan:

Unlimited DiskSpace
Unlimited MonthlyDataXfer
6 Websites
+ comes with with free domain for life


Im considering buying 6 months hosting for $36 (6 bucks a month)

They seem really, good. Reviews are all positive, good uptime. And great prices.

So, my question is, anyone have any experience with them?

I have no experience with them whatsoever, but if I where you I'd just go with HostGator unless you are planning on doing some of the more shady blackhat stuff.

Also don't drop your age around too much if you're <18, you shouldn't be allowed to have a PayPal and all.

Don't go with Arvixe. It has way too many issues. support is a joke.

I had an Arvixe account because they had ffmpeg hosting, the project I was doing never got off the ground because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I do remember contacting support for ffmpeg issues and they did respond in a timely manner, but the response was simply directing me to a page in their support area that I had already told them I read.

Ultimately it's my fault for not taking the time to learn properly but the support response gave me the impression that they are trying to clear support tickets asap without trying to really make sure they help you solve your problem

But then that's not that uncommon

They used to be decent, but I have seen quite a few poor reviews as of late in regards to them letting the HDD's fill on the boxes and not doing anything about it until you complained about it (ie they dont monitor their servers...which is bs) as well being slow.

Thats like comparing Arvixe to a pile of shit, anything is better than EIG...you might as well not even bother. Ever since HG got bought out they have been moving everything from SoftLayer into their own crap hole of a datacenter which has lead to nothing but issues and downtime...enjoy your free "upgrade" lol
