Just switched from Hostwinds to Arvixe and so far.....

It sucks dog balls. Arvixe is terrible. I transfer and set up all my sites right? Move the databases all of it. I reset the nameservers and my site is suddenly 302 to some site that sells Brazilian underwear or something.

I have been trying to get their support to resolve the situation for 24 hours now and can't even get them to respond to me anymore.

This is atrocious!

Anyone here know anyone at Arvixe? Can you kindly ask them to unfuck themselves?

Found 2 domains hosted on the same web server as luckytaxicab.com (198.252.67.107).

Make sure you set the nameservers correct, these two sites are the only ones hosted on that server, so yea..
 
Why did you move from Hostwinds if you dont mind me asking, im considering switching over to them.

Peter and his gang good people. I was downsizing drastically (just dumped over 40 sites) and was looking to save alot of money (on my car insurance and hosting). Arvixe had a Blackfriday coupon... serves me right I guess.

So you moved to save money, no other issues? You can switch back to Hostwinds they have a great Black Friday deal running as well this weekend. Anyways good luck solving your problem.
 
Arvixe is the WORST US company on the damned planet...LITERALLY.
'Customer service' is ZERO.

Any company making millions of dollars that can't even provide a solid 24/7 tech support system is a joke.
Particularly any company from the US .
A TOTAL waste of time. NEVER again...
 
I'm looking to get there shared hosting. Didn't read much negative about them until now.

Im guessing you got there Black Friday deal...you should wait minimum 48 hours for DNS propagation.

Have you ever transferred website before? Check for any errors if possible.
 
did you tried arvixe review before buy ?

there is lots of unhappy client in webhostingtalk too

they have money back guarantee. switch back to other host.
 
I may switch back to hostwinds. I have had some issues with hostwinds but nothing that would make me bash them here. They are always quick to respond and went out of their way to help me a couple of times. I just might switch back to them actually.

I just moved to hostwinds and for $5/month, they are excellent.
 
I signed up for Hostwinds 2 years ago on a BlackFriday Deal and I haven't had to worry about my hosting since then :)
I guess I found them at a right time :P

Have you got them to apply the loyalty discount? They'll give you a further 20% discount if you ask for it ;)

I have had the worst experience with Arvixe - my websites were down and I was trying to talk to their live chat support agent, he took almost 5 minutes to reply me for my every question. He didn't really understand what I was trying to say to him due to his English skills.

I guess you took their Black Friday deal without reading their reviews. You can move back to Hostwinds - because they have their Black Friday deal now, their Ultimate Business plan is 5 bucks a month, I think it's nothing.

I've fixed the issue on your account, responded to your tickets. The issue was an IP conflict caused by a routing mistake on the new vps container you ordered. I re-provisioned the server, migrated your accounts, and allocated the IPs you requested in one of your earlier support interactions.

Ah, so they respond to tech support requests once they're posted on a public forum. Awesome business practice, you get my vote.
