You guys need InMotion Hosting. It's not good for blackhat or such, I don't think. But on CNET, they had this coupon. It was half off a year, so I was talking to this sales tech and we had a great conversation. He gave me the order link, in-case the coupon expires. I found a better coupon, which was $20 a year... I asked him about it, and he said nice find. He gave me a link which will never expire, and I have tested it. Although, it is linked to my domain so I can't share it. But it is a link for the order, a set price of $20... no coupon linked to it. So I can always re-use it.
InMotion Hosting is fabulous. If you look up reviews, it is the only site without a negative review! Of course, if you're hosting porn or PPD, you might have issues. But if you use it to create blogs and monetize it within their TOS, you will never have an issue. Support is great. I even talked to the guy through his personal email (they email you) and he talked about the job, and now I'm looking into their Linux System Administrator position. Anything I need, he will personally do it for me. Again, he gave me an order link for $20 a year that will never expire...
I took the $20 deal and the sites will never load as fast as they do with another host.
Arvixe is not so good :/
There support is terrible... the support tech emailed me and I said "Yes, I do need your help. Can you move me to a new host?"
The one host dingo, has 24 cores which is a lot... the CPU is a $2,000 processor - 12 cores hyperthreading.
However, they are utilizing close to all cores every minute. I haven't looked at the load average once and saw it was utilizing less than 22, and I've monitored their load averages all day for three days straight... has not once been under 22. Highest I believe was 31 or 32... no way.
This is terrible and any Linux System Administrator knows this. 0.70 per core is good, meaning that there is a good amount of traffic per core. 1.00 is getting close to maximizing the traffic on the 'road'. ALL cores are locked. :/ Sites seemed so slow.
Thankfully it was only $5.
GreenGeeks has the same issue as well, but it's only 8 cores utilizing 9 load average. Also, with any blog or forum hosted on their site, the CPU will reach 100% and your CPU 'allowance' will cut in half, which means your website will load very slow. Click another page within your blog or forum, you've done it again -- cut in half again.
Install their ClientExec software, and load it once, you now limited your CPU, memory, and processes to half of allocated.
InMotion Hosting is the only web hosting company standing, from what I see on reviews. It seems like most other hosts have a few negative issues. Hostwinds is good for me right now as well. Those two I've had success with -- others, Arvixe and GreenGeeks, oversell resources.
Both of those companies suck.
Hostwinds spams my email to upgrade to VPS with little bit of traffic 24/7
Arvixe is always down
I need a better solution myself.
So you say Hostwinds sucks due to a lot of emails? lol. So far, I have not seen one negative review for Hostwinds, except of this.
