SEO will die in 5 years

Time to get a job.

But for real, I think five years ago we could find topics which said the same thing. I think the real danger is more things being centralised in a few plateforms(social medias) and people using less and and less browsers and just social apps.

after 16 years of working online i can tell, online anything can happen!
that's why you must be working in different projects, you can't only work in site content or selling product or provide services no you need to do all of them to be safe, I know its a little far from what you talking about but trust me we all must be ready anytime that anything may happen

>SEO will die in 5 years

Haha, what a BS!

SEO is already dead, now it pay more to be on the first page.

SEO will never die just be a Paid service to add websites to google to get indexed ........

Won't die just cost loads of cash to get indexed from google it self .

There be no free indexing.

All social will not be free.

Advertising and afflicts work will 100% change with the times.

I remember free as free online know some links can cost thousands

I am waiting for general purpose AI from IBM. 7 years left for that.

Saying SEO is going to die in 5 years is like saying search engines are going to die in 5 years - not gonna happen.

Speaking of Google. Many of Google products failed and Google might itself fail in 5 years because of Meta, OTT and cloud gaming. As we use AI for blog writing we will use Google less for Research after launch of GPT-4

The statement “SEO will be dead” makes no sense.

SEO is the manipulation of results order, no matter what system, AI or anything puts them into order, what means is the system preferences of what to look for when doing the ranking.

And even if what you imaged would happen, the local SEO and GMB will never die, because there is no AI, that can replace the answer of a website for local service and offers.

2. And, if there would be no option to appear without paying or anyhow that probably would be against USA and eu laws, just like EU forces apple to add usb C to their phones.

Thanks for the heads up OP - It's about time I start to learn how to flip burgers.
Never feed a bank staff. They will eat your bank account money like they scammed by bank account in 2013 for $1000(INR 46000) when I went to deposit Amazon check

I believe already-established websites will stay whiles the new ones will get few visitors

So should I ask their profession first before warming up buns?

You goes to the same market bank to deposit cash? They will give you excuse that server is down and will fraud you of cash. I was also scammed 2 times by government banks of cash deposit. That's why every shop keeper keeps Google Pay in India even though it destroy there candy business.

As long as search engines exist AND as long as [any type(s) of] organic results exist in search engines, SEO will be https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/alive-and-kicking.

If that will happen I will automate output of Google to websites for Bing.

Think about it, how people will search for real stories, real facts and engaging content written by humans?
AI isn't the solution to that, unless we will get genuinely interested in AI as we are in humans. That means AI will have some sort of sentience and we would also be at least partially transhuman.

It’s a double edged sword in my opinion. As in the early days, when it was whoever spammed the hardest won and then things evolved, with multiple algo changes, people essentially thought it was going to die.

People think the same now with AI as things begin to evolve again but it’s not, in fact, there will also be a way to beat AI what that is at the moment is unknown but there will be people that find a way.

As things evolve, so must we adapt and evolve too. Those that don’t will sink and those that do will profit.
