I have a site whose spam score is 80. The total backlinks are 24. I have disavowed links.
How much time will it take to show a low spam score in Moz metrics?
Please suggest what to do about it. Thanks

So many thanks. I was feeling bad about it. But it gives some confidence. I will continue working on the site, as the site is still indexed . Thanks
You're most welcome.

Focus on what matters, and don't get distracted by nonsense metrics.

Conducting effective keyword research and writing good content is what matters.

Good luck, mate!

Here are some quick wins to lower your spam score

  2. Avoid usage of spam sensitive words and phrases. ...

Moz and google are two totally different companies.
Disavowing backlinks on google will have absolutely NO affect in Moz.
Just ignore Moz metrics.

  • Do not end your from address name with digits (e.g., do not use [email protected].
  • Do not start your from address with digits ([email protected]).
  • Always use a from address. Do not use a free mail address as from address (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, Chello, et cetera).
  • Do not capitalize your from address or subject line. Avoid using capitalization in your message body.

Op is not talking about email but website, bruh.

There a blog on moz site on how to decrease it. Basically put all the information, necessary pages and make the site look legit. Use spam comment filter, social link, copyright etc on footer.

But problem is its hard to get rid of once the damage is done.
It's most important metric if you wanna sell your site or sell guest post. You buyer will look at it the first thing.
So yeah it depends.

i haven’t laughed this hard for a long time.

Could you link some reference that says “having a number in your company e-mail address, will hurt your site”

Ok . I got it. But I was talking about website spam score not email spam score. Though this is beneficial for email campaigns. Thanks for sharing it.

As many of them said, Spam score is just a moz metric and you need not give much importance to that.
Keep working on posting quality content, targeting appropriate keywords, building good quality backlinks and doing On-Page optimization. That can give you good results
