Payments firm MoneyGram (MGI) has added a service to its mobile app allowing nearly all U.S. customers to buy, sell and hold Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

The company expects to grow those cryptocurrency selections over the coming year, pending global regulation.
The new functionality is being enabled by crypto exchange Coinme, of which MoneyGram made a strategic minority investment in earlier this year. That investment followed MoneyGram's move with Coinme last year to allow customers to buy and sell bitcoin for cash at 12,000 U.S. retail locations.

Looks like its done today. Wow, Moneygram used to be a big name in transferring the payments across borders when the internet era wasn't at boom.

In my city i can still see a lot of money gram offices. Eventhough they are managed by local people but it really made people's lives easy back then.

Hoping for a better future of crypto with them :)

Agree! MoneyGram is a big name and similiar like Western Union.

Interesting development, I wonder if they'll allow eventually to buy in person too at their branches?
That would definitely be interesting. The only question is whether the fees would be cheaper than with crypto ATMs?
