Why do you think it makes sense to start a marketplace?

If you're diving into e-commerce step yourself as a general shop and try to make a few sales. Later, increase some order flows to 1000s. Understand how the scenarios work from marketing to sales to product procurement as a seller/reseller until the dispatch of products.

This helps to gain knowledge in the business to concentrate on which stream of the side you wanted to move forward in the long direction. You can do all this activity with Shopify for an easy case.

Overall journey helps to frame a marketplace to start with either for digital or physical products.

Building ecommerce website is pain so its better you use already existing store providers like sellix or gumroad. I personally prefer sellix. Also better try to find niche that is selling fast which gonna take longer time than anything.

thanks for the suggestions. I searched for such websites for a while, but I couldn't find exactly what I wanted. If there was a feature I wanted, it was definitely missing one. I will especially look at sellix. I hope this is exactly what I was looking for.
