How to Set Up a LLC in USA for Non-Residents + US Bank Account (all sources shared)

#UPDATE

I have been a bit busy lately, and I couldn't reply in here.

This week I was able to open PP Merchant Account for the LLC. All you need is the EIN of the business and a WISE bank account.
Paypal made 2 transactions with the WISE account, and after confirming, the PP account is good to go.

I also made a $20 transaction to test, and it worked, but the money will be 21-days on hold as it is a new account.

Next, I will try to open a Coingate account and Clickbank, as both are not supported in my country.

@mods, if you can add this to the main thread, it would be great, as I can't edit it. (@Heiko you know i love ya :) )

Also wanna add after a month with constant transaction You would be able to withdraw money instant. You can also use mercury.com to create a bank account. With a mercury.com account you can even apply and get 5k$ AWS credit. Cheers !!!

This.

Please can someone enlighten me why foreigners need a US LLC for their online businesses?
Because popular payment providers like stripe or paypal are unavailable in a lot of countries. A US LLC + US bank account will give you access to these services. Stripe even offers their own incorporation service for this purpose. It's called Atlas

I wish you all had a great weekend.

I have seen many people in BHW asking questions about LLCs in the USA. I have been one of them in the past too.

The thing is that nobody shares their own sources publicly. Back at the time, I asked a member here on BHW (can't recall his name now) and he suggested me a service.
Guess what?! That service was a fcuking reseller and I ended up paying $500 to set up an LLC in Wyoming.

I'm not gonna share the RESELLER company, no worries lol. I'll share the main source.

The company I have used is Wyoming LLC attorney (.) com. You can set up your LLC in the US for $199.
After 1-year I paid $159 for Renew Agent Service & We File Annual Report With Our Name (Anonymous).

After setting up the company obviously you want to open a US bank account. I created a simple website for my company and applied for a bank account with Mercurey but I didn't have success. A friend of mine was accepted. So I would suggest you try Mercury first and if that doesn't work you can continue with Relayfi (.) com. They accepted my application and now I have a US bank account. I also received a Debit Business Card which Relayfi mailed to my business address (in this case Wyoming LLC attorney).
Then I used the MAIL FORWARDING service from the Wyoming LLC attorney (costs $65) and received the CARD.

If you don't need the physical Debit Card you can use the Virtual one. You can also create Virtual Debit cards for your registered employees. :)

With this LLC I also created an account Stripe account which is working like a charm.

NOTE

- I still haven't used the Relayfi yet as i don't really need the bank account. So I can't tell you my experience with them. (fees, maintenance, etc)
- I also didn't do any transactions with the company so I can't tell you anything about taxes etc.

TL: DR

Set up an LLC in Wyoming US with Wyoming LLC attorney (.) com
Open a US bank account with Relayfi (.) com

That's all, $200 and you have your LLC set up in the US.

Have a nice week ahead

PS. I'm not affiliated with any of those companies. Just my own experience.
HMMMM to get an EIN, do you need to give you personal info though?

$200? wow. I use a https://llcwyo.com that provides similar services that charges $135 to form my company and then $20 a year for the registered agent.

Really inspiring to see on a 'professional services' website;

Not to mention the 'not-working' footer links and this:

Didn't edit the WP theme much did they! Ha!

Guy is suggesting a real "professional" service :rolleyes:

I have been using mercury for almost a year now, for those wondering which bank they can open with their US business details, I hope this can help. Note that if you’re from countries that sanctioned by the US, this won’t work.

1. Mercury
By far the easiest to approve, you just need to state that you have customers, suppliers, employees in the US to be accepted.

2. SVB
This one the hardest to enter now, only if you enter and verify that you’re recently funded by US investors that they would even entertain your bank account opening. If you’re new startup forget about this as an option.

3. Brex
They only entertain e-commerce / mid-size startups

4. Globalfy
Same as Brex, only accepting good standing companies.

5. Relayfi
Somewhat slightly 50:50 on accepting bank account opening request, based on my own experience they are easy to accept like Mercury but they require a lot more documents

6. Wise
Just pay the $31 fee and you’re in

7. PayPal business
I think PayPal generally just accepts all the registrations

8. Airwallex
Same more or less like Wise but they are accepting only good standing companies

Many other neobanks require SSN so if you don’t have US cofounders this will restrict your access to other banks generally speaking.

I would also avoid putting large amount of money into these banks, even though they are all mostly FDIC-insured but you would not want to book a flight to the US just to try and settle a case with the bank, not recommended.

Managing your business tax records also important, if you don’t your company will be in bad standing position which always a red flag for banks to accept your registration, or any other partnership deals by other US companies.

Please also note that these banks I mentioned above might have minimum deposit in place and require you to maintain the amount for your account to stay active, so check around for terms and conditions before you’re applying.

they are asking 175$ for EIN i thought i was included in 199$ ?

Applying EIN is easy if you know what kind of busines you will be doing :). And its for free to do it by yourself

I want to add that although you get a PayPal account, they will ask for your US address (personal, not company) and SSN (for owner's details) after a certain threshold. This will result in account closure. It happened to me.

Thanks a lot for the information, today i opened a LLC ! In this moment the status is "Good Standing" i think in next days it will be finished

Does this mean you won't require an ITIN for your PP?

Also, would it be possible to just get the verification through Mercury bank details, and would it be fine to add Wise + Mercury together to the account? because I might have transactions on both banks, but need to get it added to Paypal as some clients prefer paying via PayPal.

Did the llc you purchased come with an EIN? or did you buy it separately And you can use Ipostal as a corporate address, 10usd per month

sometimes even cloud banks reject an application if there’s no ss-4 form and or an operation agreement to the entity

And was the corp you bought aged or newley formed

Hi, are there any fees you pay on a monthly/yearly basis to keep your LLC? Also, can you tell me how much in % you pay for your Tax? Sorry if my questions sound dumb :)

did you guys have to wait 45 days to get the EIN to open the bank account? why does it take so long? i thought you can just go to the IRS website and get it

and how many people have made 5 figure deposits into their bank and not had problems using the ATM card or transfeing out? the bank account site looks like a simple panel.

For foreigners the only way is to send a fax or pay someone to do it for you.

I have been waiting two weeks for the IRS to reply to my fax.
