Anybody else know how to increase the # of connections(Listed in lower left corner of scrapebox) when harvesting?

When Im doing a google specific harvest its 1 connection at a time. Doesnt scrapebox allow multiple threads per search engine using the proxies when harvesting?

No it's one connection per search engine - SE scraping is one place in sbox where you can't jack up your # of connections lest you get blocked.

excuse my ignorance..... but why would you get blocked if your using multiple proxies to scrape the search engines? Yahoo wont know its me if Im using 25 different proxies at the same time to scrape. or will they....?

I'm just theorizing here, but I believe they could if you're scraping for x hundreds of keywords...sbox scrapes the SE's pretty fast, and so you scrape for let's say 200 keywords...hitting let's say Big G's pages and pages of results....and they see the same 25 proxies coming in hard and fast over a short period of time....

even when I'm using plenty o' proxies to scrape the SE's, sometimes when I try to do a "normal search" (just in a browser to look something up real quick) on the same PC where I'm harvesting, I get the "Sorry, but we've detected you're doing a lot of searches, please enter this captcha..." from Big G.

Is the slow commenter accurate mode able to solve wordpress, movable type and blogengine? So that I can use a bloglist with all types of blogs together when I only use the accurate mode and not the fast commenter?

But isnt the slow commenter running after each fast comment? Its the case at wordpress and I think blogengine only has the slow commenter. So the slow commenter should be the same for every blog type isnt it?

Ok i have been struggling the past days to be able to 'stick' my comments.
I got private proxies, def no url ban with akismet, good comments etc.

Normally i get a 60% succes rate but from that 60% maybe 1% is showing up.

Tried several post options, footprints etc etc...

Am i missing something here? Hope someone can give me some good tips cause its getting kinda frustrated

What difference did you see by using free and private proxies? Did you maybe test it with the same bloglist with different results?

When I'm running BlogEngine I change Slow Accurate to 90 second TO and even though it takes roughly 20 seconds, I am having excellent results.

Great results with shared ProxyBonanza, but for some reason YourPrivateProxy keeps getting rejected. Anyone use YPP?

I also want to add that everyone should pick up paid proxies.
Reasons:
1) Time is money - You will spend more time searching for free proxies instead of working on projects that will make you money.
2) The free proxies work to a certain point. Paid proxies are 100x better.

It takes money to make money and if you bought SB, then don't cheap out and use free proxies. Unleash the full potential of this excellent tool.

Remember it takes time for the owner to approve the comments. How long did you recently post?

Jeez dude, settle down. I was out of the office. I DO have to buy groceries every now and then.

Anyway, many of your proxies are not banned by Akismet (some are), so a +1 to proxygo's service.

Unfortunately, the domain that I did want to use SB on right now IS banned by Akismet, so I'm going to hold off on proxies for now. But I now know where to go when I'm ready for the next domain/linkwheel/whatever.

But proxygo's service looks good. Just try not to have a heart attack next time.


Edit: I'm NOT going to respond to anything else proxygo says here, as this is about ScrapeBox.

So to make this post worthy of the thread, let me tell you about Akismet. Figure it out before you start posting to blogs on ANY of your money domains.

It's easy to see if Akismet is banning an IP. If it does, STOP posting with it, because if you try posting 500 times to your domain with an Akismet-banned proxy, your domain is going to join the trashbucket. Test on your own blog first, find some good proxies, and THEN have at it. Learn from my mistakes.
