yeah... individuals who tend to share a herd mentality. society can't accommodate too many free-thinking "individuals."

What, like you? Then what makes you so special?

And Dubya went on TV and said, "God told me to invade Iraq!"
Let's just be thankful that as long as world leaders talk to invisible superbeings, the world will be a safe and secure place to live...

The asylums and prisons are full of murderers who claim, "God told me to do it!"

I'm not sure it can be fixed apekill - personally I think were past that. If you want to see the future of America start looking at the EU and whats happening there right now. Basically the euro-nations have given in to treaties that overpower their constitution rendering them useless. Thats what you'll see here next treaties with the UN. So far the US has actually sold many of the US National Parks to the UN - they also own the land for 931 new prisons and I don't know why I don't call them what Bill Clinton did "camps". Thats odd isn't it? Back when bill was in office there were only about 50 or so:If you care enough to complain, what specifically are you doing to fix it?
Complete sentences please. Show your work.

I like how Einstein defined "Insanity". "Doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result."If you look at the previous voting records for either candidate
you'll see that what they say and what they do are two totally
different things.
I do agree that Ron Paul has pretty much been the only
candidate that has every actually made any sense whatsoever.
But of course America would rather just have 4 years of the
same shit. Just raise them taxes to fund our wars that we
already can't afford while the dudes at the top bank huge.
Now you're just being silly. There's been more significant change in the last 50-odd years in the US than a goodly number of other countries that've had a lot more time to work on their faults. Hell, just the women's rights movement is lightyears ahead of several countries one could name.I like how Einstein defined "Insanity". Thats basically what Americans have been doing for over 50 years now. Listening to the same things said and never having seen one of them done.
You'd think at some point you'd get it...
Ahh there's a few others as well as Ron Paul. Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel all on the same page. You see whos pushing the bill to get Bush impeached? Dennis Kucinich -- I like what Paul says and I'd back him too. It's simply amazing what the Media got away with during the debates -- I'm still in shock.
zeitgeist is a really good movie, and gives a small view of the "real world"
corruption and cash rules everything around you.

I think if people actually knew what was going to happen they would actually panic or die of fear -- literally. There is a day coming soon where all this will come to a head (starting with the economy) and people will have a very scary choice to make however, I'm not sure there is anything you can do to stop it now.

If you care enough to complain, you should be getting them elected instead of complaining about their complete inability to play by the established rules. People don't get elected by accident, it's a complicated series of essentially Black Hat techniques. That's the other reason I don't get involved, if I had a problem with the status quo I'd gladly become a part of it. Anyone who does less is a coward and a hypocrite, yes?

That's really some scary stuff. I watch the news frequently and I've noticed a definite trend over the last few years where more and more pepole are being imprisoned. And there's always talk about building more prisons to house the expanding prison population.
I read somewhere that the US has a higher percentage of its population in prison than any other country. I guess that if grandma doesn't return her library book in time, she'll end up in chains doing road work.
I'm not wearing pants and typing upside down, so my response is naturally brief, but:
As much as I love Tesla, isn't that his own fault for not securing his base before he went on to "change the world" or whatever? He's a genius inventor and general thinker really, but he didn't have sense enough to make sure he was self-sustainable. That's his own failing.
It's a key issue that tends to come up (at least when I'm involved) in a lot of conversations like this. People say they want to "fix the problem" or whatever, but they rarely if ever take the necessary steps to get it done fully and realistically. You (not you, odd-job) can say that you want to fight the power and all as much as you want, but unless you sit back and consider all the available options to really see your point through (including becoming a politician and other such unfun activities) you're a hypocrite of the highest order.
You can't just listen to Rage Against the Machine and wear Che shirts to useless rallies. Sometimes you have to do stuff you don't like.
