I have come up with 3 options to buy bitcoin anonymously. each option has its own problems. I am so confused, I have been thinking for days which one is the best one but I don't know. can you tell me about the pros and cons of each option?

option 1 - bitcoin atm
problems: facial recognition, wearing n95 mask doesn't defeat facial recognition, wearing n95 mask and sunglasses and a hat might, but it seems like this creates more problems than it solves, I don't want to be that weird guy that was doing everything possible to not be identified while buying bitcoin, he must be doing something illegal. requires phone number, burner phone available but there is a concern that when I carry it around it communicates with cell towers and identifies my location.

option 2 - mail cash, get bitcoin
problems: when I am mailing the envelope at the post office my face will be all over the cameras. even if I buy stamps and bring them home and put them on the envelope at home, my face will be all over the cameras buying the stamp. plus, I will be that weird guy who is buying $20 in stamps, why is he not bringing the envelope to the post office and paying with his credit card? why is he putting 40 stamps on an envelope? who does that? plus, the risk of getting lost in the mail. postal workers will steal your money if they realize there is money in an envelope. of course my fingerprints will not be anywhere on the envelope or the cash.

option 3 - prepaid visa debit card to bitcoin
I can go to the store and buy prepaid visa gift cards and sell them for bitcoin on some website. however, my face will be all over the store's cameras buying the gift card. and I don't want to be that weird guy who is wearing a mask and sunglasses buying gift cards when it's not even sunny outside.

there are some really intelligent people here, I know some of you are geniuses. can you tell me either 1) how I can improve some of these options, meaning how to solve the problems presented? or 2) which options is less likely to get me in trouble?

PS I like this quote, I read it on a privacy forum "you are not a criminal, but you may be treated like one"

Lookup fb groups for crypto trading in your area. Buy with cash and the only one who knows who you are will be the guy who sold it to you.

1) I don't have facebook 2) how do I know the person is not a government agent trying to see who is buying bitcoin anonymously?

the seller has great feedback, many people have mailed him cash and received bitcoin
No, just, no.

I can buy feedback for anything that is online and the feedback would make me look like the King of England.

Do not send cash in the mail as that has not been a thing in terms of acceptable business practice since about 1968.

but if the seller was a scammer he would have a few negative feedbacks too. he has only 1 in the past 7 years.

Do what you want but I could create an account there, generate a ton of positive reviews by paying for them, and scam.

I remember 1968 as I was a kid then and it is not 1968 anymore.

You cannot get BTC without revealing who you are nowadays.
> P2P platforms require KYC
> You don't want to trade person to person from a forum/group deal.
> You can't use CC
> You can't use Paypal or something similar

The only ways for you are, IMO...
> Work online and get paid in BTC
> Earn money online for $/€ and convert it to BTC from a forum/group deal. Don't forget to use escrow
> Buy gift cards online and flip them for BTC from a forum/group deal. Don't forget to use escrow
> Buy loaded VCCs and buy BTC with them. Not sure though which platforms you can use nowadays to buy.

how do I know the person is not a government agent trying to see who is buying bitcoin anonymously?
I don't know how to answer that. I understand that it may be a real concern for you, but it just doesn't make sense to send out agents to track pepple that are doing something that isn't illegal.

If you're serious about this, and you have your reasons, here's what I would do.

1) Buy WMZ. Either fund it yourself, or find people who will sell you paymer cards. Those can be redeemed in your WMZ wallet instantly.

Use WMZ to buy crypto on .ru exchange forums, plenty out there. There are also instant exchangers for WMZ - BTC.

Better yet, use WMZ to buy WMX(Bitcoin) directly on wmtransfer.

2) Use PerfectMoney. Find exchangers in Nigeria, plenty of them. Use Pm to instantly exchange for BTC

3) Plenty of people on localbitcoins accepting paysafecard for BTC.

4)Use russian exchangers, and don't care about them knowing who sent the money. Not sure how they're accepting money nowadays with the stuff going on, but since they move millions of $ per day, I'm sure they figured smth out. I don't want to name a few of them because it's been a while since I used them. But there are review websites specifically for this.

Why not buy from exchangers outside your country, that way you are safe.

thanks, you seem knowledgeable about this field and I don't understand half the things you said, but you keep saying buy this buy that, how do I buy them without my identity being disclosed? back to problem 1.

This guy has some of the most interesting posts on BHW lmao. He's describing the model of mask he could wear to purchase Bitcoin to avoid facial recognition.

My dude, hire a homeless person to buy your Bitcoin for you. Make sure to wear a fake mustache.

Where are you from?
In the U.S. you don't need to show your id when you send money with Western Union if the amount is less than $950.

If it's possible to buy an A+ rating on BBB, how difficult is it to buy positive reviews and delete negative ones? If you're going to mail anyone your $$, then only mail as much as you'd be comfortable losing.

About totally hiding your identity...unless you engage in identity theft such that you end up using someone else's credit card etc, somehow, the system can trace and find you. It's becoming increasingly difficult to hide over time.

Find someone who has the same problem as you (anonymity) but is at the other end of the trade (he has bitcoins). Some people have a lot of crypto and want to buy stuff with it but can't easily find sellers that accept bitcoin without revealing their identity. Then buy a house/car/expensive watch using your identity, or whatever they want to buy, and then donate it to them in exchange for btc. They can also use a shell company/foundation for the donation.

If you're afraid of undercover agent, go to real btc miners and befriend a few to know them. You can find them on bitcointalk and russian forums, discord servers... Miners have bitcoins and always sell it to pay bills so buy directly from them p2p, offer them a better rate and they'll be happy to do it. If you're paranoid about wiring money to a miner with your identity use western union, if you're paranoid about that too, make a nice package put in an old VHS tape in it with folded money hidden inside it, superglue it discreetly so it cant be opened (the receiver will have to break it). Or send a box of crayons, the ones that have a thick label around each pen. Out of 48 crayons only put money around a dozen of them by rolling the bill over the crayon then cover it with their original label. These are just ideas, don't use them exactly, do it similar but with a twist. I know someone said not to send money in the mail but you can get creative and the postman will never suspect.

If you are so worried about being identified, which I think you are exaggerating unless you are on the FBI's most wanted...

option 1 - bitcoin atm
problems: facial recognition, wearing n95 mask doesn't defeat facial recognition, wearing n95 mask and sunglasses and a hat might, but it seems like this creates more problems than it solves, I don't want to be that weird guy that was doing everything possible to not be identified while buying bitcoin, he must be doing something illegal. requires phone number, burner phone available but there is a concern that when I carry it around it communicates with cell towers and identifies my location.

No one can stop you for wearing a hat and glasses with a mask while buying BTC at an ATM. Yeah, the burner phone will be identified by cell towers but at the end of the day it's a burner, do this in an area you are not regular at and discard your phone afterward.

option 2 - mail cash, get bitcoin
problems: when I am mailing the envelope at the post office my face will be all over the cameras. even if I buy stamps and bring them home and put them on the envelope at home, my face will be all over the cameras buying the stamp. plus, I will be that weird guy who is buying $20 in stamps, why is he not bringing the envelope to the post office and paying with his credit card? why is he putting 40 stamps on an envelope? who does that? plus, the risk of getting lost in the mail. postal workers will steal your money if they realize there is money in an envelope. of course my fingerprints will not be anywhere on the envelope or the cash.

Most of the time you will get scammed, but if you want to proceed...

Buying stamps doesn't mean you will be buying BTC to do illegal stuff... They can't trace every person who does it.

option 3 - prepaid visa debit card to bitcoin
I can go to the store and buy prepaid visa gift cards and sell them for bitcoin on some website. however, my face will be all over the store's cameras buying the gift card. and I don't want to be that weird guy who is wearing a mask and sunglasses buying gift cards when it's not even sunny outside.

Send someone to purchase the prepaid for you.

Grab your hat and sunglasses again, a jacket, whatever.

If you were this important to the government, you should be worrying about how they will trace your blockchain transactions back to you. How to use BTC tumblers/mixers, the wallet you will be storing it... Etc...

Buying the crypto is in fact the less traceable part of your journey.

I think your information is outdated. 20 years ago you didn't need id for less than $1000 but now even for $1 you need id
