Youtube Shorts Algo Update

My update regrading the new Shorts update:

Here's what i've found from my tests for the last weeks.

it seems like YouTube have implemented a checkpoint (if you have been in YouTube long enough you must have known the 301 freezing). Most by this moment have noticed that the videos always get that 1 view. Well, this 1 view is from YouTube crawlers/bots which check the video before send it to large audience. To solidify my theory, i uploaded dozens of videos and all got 1 view but the views didn't appear in the analytics but when i watch one of the videos on my phone or browser the view appears on the analytics dashboard. Which makes us 100% assured the 1 view is coming from YouTube bots/crawlers (since the views from bots doesn't count).

If bots are analysing the video before send it to a pool of audience then it must be checking fundamental factors:
- Analysing your reliability of content, if content is repetitive/spam.
- Analysing the channel history and trust score

If you get 1 view on the video and it doesn't score more views after 30mn to 45mn you're very likely shadowbaned and your channel is a ghost in the eyes of the algo.

If anyone have some hidden findings like this one, share it with us here.

i totaly disagree with you because i've try a spam video which i post it dozens of times and one video got 118 views and the similar videos got like 1 or 2 views

When you do get good results simultaneously then call me wrong. if one video out of dozens got views while rest 1-2 it's exactly what i said up. You might get away with the first uploads but next it's all 1 or 0 views which means you're shadowbanned.

I've tried a lot of things in last week, uploaded probably more than 400 channels (tried a lot of different methods) and 20-30 of them worked (they worked better than usual, I mean 1-3M views per channel and some videos got 500-700K views). This is crazy because when I reproduced same thing next day, it didn't work. I will start to believe in randomness :/

And here are my findings:
- Before the update, if you get 10-20 views in first 3 mins that was meaning you will get more than 100K views. If zero views in channel analysis, it means you are not gonna get any views.
- Now, some channels may get views after a few hours. (but it doesn't mean that they'll 100% get)
- Also before the update, every video would get views or simple the channel doesn't get any views. But in my last channels, only 3-4 of videos got views and all other videos got 0 view.

I have the same take aswell.

Looks like the spread for newely created accounts is random. I get thousands of views on couple videos and absolute 0 on the rest and the channel get banned few days later.

Here a sample;

why your channel got banned?

is not a matter of age, ip, browser, or phone. It's a matter of the account history and activity.

I have tried to create accounts with old gmails. still 0 views
Created account thro unique phone fingerprints, browser fingerprints, clean 4G ip's. still 0 views
Bought aged channels. still 0 views.

why your channel got banned?
Because spam upload.

How do you monetize shorts anyway? Is it just for getting traffic?

There are tons of ways to monetize shorts you just gotta get creative. The best one and for the long term is to start a niche channel and growth it till the point your videos easily get viral and create a store around that niche and sell products to the audience.

Well i dont understand this update .We still can upload short videos or we need to upload longer again .I dont understand

Account history doesn't matter too, according to my tests.

The update started at 8 August. Youtube restrict spam channels from getting views on shorts videos. If you upload now on newly created channel you will get 0, 1 or 2 view same for channels taht been inactive or channels spam upload. in other words, you get shadowbaned till the Algo decides to not.

By history i mean you channels getting impressions and attraction for the last 30 days with consistent daily uploads. I have a channel consistently uploading shorts on daily basis no spam it didn't got affected.

So you guys still testing with only shorts or also the hybrid approach?

then, any idea how many shorts that can be uploaded for a day to avoid the spam? since my account can upload around 100 videos a day , i dont know why.

The 10 short videos I uploaded recently have only 2-3 views. Am I blocked? What should I do to unblock?

Yes, you might be right. Warmed accounts work better for sure.
