Youtube Shorts Algo Update

YouTube keeps changing the algorithms to bring the new content creators on the network.

Here's what i've found from my tests for the last weeks.

it seems like YouTube have implemented a checkpoint (if you have been in YouTube long enough you must have known the 301 freezing). Most by this moment have noticed that the videos always get that 1 view. Well, this 1 view is from YouTube crawlers/bots which check the video before send it to large audience. To solidify my theory, i uploaded dozens of videos and all got 1 view but the views didn't appear in the analytics but when i watch one of the videos on my phone or browser the view appears on the analytics dashboard. Which makes us 100% assured the 1 view is coming from YouTube bots/crawlers (since the views from bots doesn't count).

If bots are analysing the video before send it to a pool of audience then it must be checking fundamental factors:
- Analysing your reliability of content, if content is repetitive/spam.
- Analysing the channel history and trust score

If you get 1 view on the video and it doesn't score more views after 30mn to 45mn you're very likely shadowbaned and your channel is a ghost in the eyes of the algo.

length doesn't really matter. Now there's another factors involved in which makes your shorts go viral.

Se i bot stanno analizzando il video prima di inviarlo a un pubblico, devono controllare i fattori fondamentali:
- Analizzare l'affidabilità del contenuto, se il contenuto è ripetitivo/spam.
- Analisi della cronologia del canale e del punteggio di affidabilità

Se ottieni 1 visualizzazione sul video e non ottenuto più recensioni dopo 30-45 minuti, è molto probabile che tu sia bloccato e il tuo canale è un fantasma negli occhi dell'algoritmo.

anything above 10 uploads will send your channel to the sandbox.
 
thank you so much I missed this. Now i see post is 2 months old. How is thing going with algorithm? I see they did new update to make content from existing videos quickly so I think this is still what the algorithm doing

That’s good to hear. About a month ago, my YouTube channel got shadowbanned because I spammed too many shorts. I have a theory which suggests the shorts algorithm is separated from the long form content algorithm. Rather than starting over, I’m planning to make long form content. Do you think that the YouTube shorts shadowban will affect the long form content algorithm for my videos too? Is there still a chance for my long form content to get suggested to a new audience?

In addition, YouTube still recommends my content. One of my videos got a record high 34% impressions of YouTube recommending it. This is why I think that the "Shadowban" only applies to the YouTube Shorts algorithm. As for the other 66% of viewers seeking my content/other... Idk what those analytics mean. After some analysing, i reaslised the views from Shorts Feed was affected only (Probably, I think)
