For the last few days everyone were in confusion if the days of spamming shorts are gone or is just flaw in the Algo.

Everything now is clear. YouTube rolled out an update to recommend longer-form videos to subs came from YouTube shorts.

Confirmed by Youtube Product Manager who tweeted abt it yesterday.

This update might have closed the door for some but opened the door for more opportunities. With the bridge between Shorts and Longer form videos, combining both high reach and high growth potential from shorts now people who put time and money in growing channels will have their fair chance in growing and reaching larger base of audience.

Personally I didn't understand anything... o_O

This doesn't really explain 0 impressions
If you talking abt 0 reach on spam channels than it's obviously a matter of trust.

Before the update, the subs you get from Shorts videos will not get your longer-form videos recommended to them. in other words, they have 0 effect on the channel growth just numbers with no benefits. That's why was recommended to create a channel dedicated to Shorts. But now, with the bridge between Shorts and longer-form videos, subs coming from shorts will interact with your longer-form videos which will generate extra engagement and boost your videos in the recommendation.

This is really a good update and I don’t think it would affect the other content creators. Thanks for sharing!
Yes it's a good update for people who just started a channel and needs a boost.

that mean i should make video for long time
Longer-form videos? if you have a shorts channel with good engagement then start longer videos.

longer for example 10 second

It will clear the doubts of so many people have regarding this issue.

Long formant or not short? so if a vid is 30s second but it isn't short, would that be recommended?

As of August 18, YouTube Shorts will serve as a bridge to discovering long-form videos. So instead of Shorts and longs having no relationship, the algorithm will consider recent long-form videos when recommending content to Shorts viewers.
In other words, anyone watching your Shorts could start seeing recommendations for your longer videos [...] With the latest update, you could potentially use Shorts to drive views to your long-form videos [...] So if you're trying to reach a completely different audience with your Shorts, it's best to make a separate channel for that content.

Now we have to adapt to this new policy, there is still lot of scope with shorts.

So basically, going hybrid of Shorts and long-form is the way going forward?

There are still methods around these new updates, they are still in testing currently but have shown good success rate so far.
Certainly you will not share your sources...

Before it wasn't possible because posting shorts would ruin your channels metrics, but now with the bridge Shorts with long-form it's ideal.

But there is a new update where shorts will also show for search queries. It will boost their traffic.
Oh that's noice! implemented or scheduled? because i don't see announcement regarding this.
