This site posted 90 f*cking thousand affiliate articles in just 2 months and reach traffic up to 5M.

It is a 22 or something years old expired domain.

And it was shared in some more SEO groups.

The owner was recless. The website has it all scraped, spinned, ai generated content and 100% automated.....I never understood how some people have the skills to make a huge aff site 100% on autopilot and don't have the skills to trick G in to thinking it's a legit website....it's not super hard to do.

It also can be a manual review penalty in this case the owner can't do nothing.

You are under the false impression this was their main project, or THE project, when it could have very well be just a test for them and their team.
In normal circumstances, they were expecting it to fail, so they have something to learn, and in this case, there's a lot to learn.

A team with the capability of producing that amount of content and getting it out there is not to be considered childish. They know what they are doing.
The problem is, every once in a while, you need a field test.
You need shit to fail so you know how to steer.

They will never come back with a site that big. They will flood the market with 500 of these websites of much lower capacity that nobody will even know.

However, we should really be thanking them for giving us the privilege of seeing their tests go live and die.

I wouldn't call that retarded and would "test" things out like that even just twice a year.

Traffic was 5M. For Sure they Must have made Good money

We have learned few things from there site , The owner of site must have got many New things to learn and that he may implement for his new sites

It's safe to assume they made SOME money from that traffic?
It's also safe to assume they made at least 5 figures from 5 000 000 visitors. Not to mention reporting tools are always lower than reality.

You can't test on a small scale, because you don't know what works and what doesn't.
when you have a large dataset, you can get 100x more data than from a small one.

They went from being a marina/restaurant to being an affiliate site with crap content, duplicate content and other huge red flags.

They had a strong domain but did not want to spend on quality content. If I were them I would have wanted to do everything to delay the Google penalty...the longer you have a site of this nature running full throttle, the more the $$ you can milk from it.
