How to avoid scam in guest posting?

Recently I had an bad experience. Paid for guest posting to the webmaster of https://happymuncher.com/ (in advance)
After the payment he is not responding. Payment method is paypal but its not mine, sender wont dispute the transaction for hassle.
How to avoid these kinds of scammer? any tips?

ok, I saw that their DA is only 15 (very less). People often fall for this number.

The domain is only 7 months old.

I noticed there is a sudden spike in their traffic in last 2 months, not sure if it is by paid ads or what.

Honestly, I would never ask them for backlinks!

That's why I am asking what made you buy backlinks from them and how much did you pay (you can tell me in PM if you don't want to tell here)?

You are one of the people who think it's cheaper to do outreach yourself and actually get your fingers burned.
There are people out in the world who are selling $10 link farm garbage as DA/DR 50+ links for $50.
There are people out there who sell services to fake DA who also sell high DA guest posts... Go figure.
There are people who sell high DA PBN links as guest posts.

Using an agency you are also paying for their experience and expertise.

Yes, you can often do it cheaper. I can buy flour, yeast etc from the local store for 80c and bake my own bread and hope it turns out ok, or I can buy fresh made bread from the bakery for a Euro, from someone who has been baking bread for years.

Assuming you do work at an agency, this is embarrassing in all honesty.

There is nothing you can do. Just put the site on the "shit list websites" and move on.

Someone might not place the link; some others place and remove it within months. As the years pass, you create a relationship with the webmasters, and you know who to trust.
