Has Anyone Made Their Own Web 2.0 Network?

For parasite linkbuilding, I mean. I'm not asking if you've made a PBN of tumblrs or wordpress.com blogs, I'm asking if you've made something like tumblr or wordpress.com, purely for the purpose of subdomain parasite linkbuilding. I've heard money robot did something of the sort, ie some sites on their 'list' were sites they owned, consequently these properties were spammed to death by users of the software. But has anyone experimented with making a private network of blog sites which have different niche/theme subdomains?

You mean a platform where users can make their own websites like wp or tumblr?

Yeah exactly.
I'm asking because I was just going through a linkbuilding project I had done in 2019 for a local business, and so many of the old web 2.0s I had made (hand made at the time, and I made them all really painstakingly) have been suspended. And it got me thinking why not just make a few web 2.0 sites of my own, keep them really minimal, just text and put a size cap on images, so they don't overburden the server.

maintaining and growing just one of these sites is a PIA and you want more of them?? For example, how are you going to deal with spammers like you and me who will create 1000s of accounts each day to build links to their clients' sites?

Not saying it has to actually be a functioning web 2.0, it just needs to 'look like one' We can fill it up with 200-300 accounts programmatically (say, with wp-multisite) to make it look like a legit web 2.0.

btw just to clarify, I wasn't talking about implementing this asap, I certainly don't have the resources for it, but given the scale of the problem, I'm pretty sure people more experienced than me on this forum have tried it.

I get what you're saying but it will have no value if it's not real because nobody will link to it, so it will acquire no authority to rank. And without authority what's the point of having it?

I'm sure there are people who have tried it, but those people probably had a lot of time and money to make it worthwhile

as far as I know web 3.0 is the exact same thing but u can connect certain functions to the blockchain, I dont think that will help a lot with linkbuilding
