So, what advice would you give someone who is promoting offers for a network through emails. There are over 150 unique clicks from all over the world, but there are no leads yet.
So how does one target only a specific region (let's say central Europe), and not get clicks from everywhere?

And how are you getting mails from users? Who are you sending those mails to?

We always recommend to newbies starting with offers with lower payouts and easier flow. Maybe some offers will sound too attractive to be true, and that is probably what they are. You will just lose money and time.
Another thing is to test an offer and choose wisely the number of campaigns you will run, as a high number of campaigns will get you just problems. You will not be able to track the behavior of the campaign and see the mistakes you are potentially making. To take conversion rates higher, you need to see what has to be fixed.

On the other hand, you have to give the campaign the time, at least seven days trial period. Then, you will know what you have to optimize and make it more cost-effective than it is. Measuring the campaign ctr, cr, spent, etc., will give you an insight into the campaign's performance.

And if the specific GEO does not work for you, just retarget, and you will find what works for your campaign/offer. Good luck!

this is quite clear, only running one offer at the moment, something familiar and worked with before, but not emailing; will wait until the ebd of the week to see how things will be then and can start thinking about optimizations

You already have the answer!

Buy country targeted lists and verify that it's targeted by paying attention to some patterns like:

Is there some email from internet providers related to your targeted country (like aol, sfr, orange....)?
Is there some domain extensions related to your targeted country?
Are email names related to the country?

Good luck

Also, just one quick tip: if you buy a database for the emails, ensure that those data have enough information about the users you are buying. For example, GEO, so that you could filter the user according to his GEO, like filtering users just from Japan. On the other hand, if you are buying data for WW GEOs and do not have enough information about them - you have a problem if you do not have enough targeting information and which GEO is converting better for your campaign.

Also, if you are sending email campaigns, we recommend you to use tools for spam detecting (you have many free tools available on the internet that you can use). They will help you detect the spam rate of your email and see if they are ending up in the recipient's spam folder. Also, take care of the email subject. It has to be catchy so that people would be interested in what you offer. Also, ensure you are sending email campaigns on a specific day and time. Many types of research are done on this subject, which could help you determine the optimal time to send email campaigns.

Good luck, and fingers crossed!

i have to admit that not all of this is new but what is new is perspective changing, and it is really good to hear from other people in the industry
another additional question since we are already here; is it worth it getting a not so targeted email list and trust the the smart-link will do the appropriate work, or should the smart-link just be forgotten about?

You can do that and trust SmartLink. After trying, you might get some interesting conclusions regarding some GEOs -> some GEOs might work better than other ones, so when that is done, you can focus more on certain GEOs that work better.

okay, that makes sense, thank you; i will get in touch if anything
